I sold some today and bought back- my divi will give me over $41k, so those who advised sell below £1 were slightly wrong.

Was disappointed with the share price after another rise in gold overnight, but then I remembered we are ex-div today :-)

Thanks Plat . Your first visit to the board for a few months and you enlightened us all . Now .. why didn’t you buy back in when it was extreme value ? Missed a trick there . Which way for gold from here with it hitting $1550 just before the open ?

Very astute Kenny, it's not true what people say about you at all. You are a well informed and sophisticated individual

Kenny...

Try a put the pieces together if you can.

If I wasn't long but sold at 154 and held negative views then what was I?

Dimi, every board you post in there's always someone with a premium account voting you down, how come?

Kenny you don't have to hold to have an opinion view or interest and unfortunately, they'll always be people who take umbridge with opposing views for some weird reason.

Then there's retrospective fantasists like 5 watt dimii too.

Rotrader..

Whilst gold does have some minor industrial uses, they are not sufficient to hedge against the safe haven asset trade.

Oh dear 5 watt Dimi is here. I thought you had me on filter?

And no.. I've never said i was long here, either in advance or retrospectively. I sold out here, almost 2 years ago at 154, which you'd know if you bothered to research anything at all. How are your dead cert's BMN, SOLG tips going Lolz?

If any of you want to lose money follow Dimi around, he'll gladly tell anyone who'll listen how to lose money. Rumour has it that Montgomery Brewster had him on the payroll in the 80's...They don't call him '5 watt' for nothing.

I think you might find that Gold can be classed as an industry metal also.So we are in a win win situation ;-)

Further to that Alan, the alternative to trumps rhetoric is trade, which will favour industrial metals over Gold, so some that have profited out of the recent gold run, may well be considering rolling over some of their profits into industrial metals, such as Silver and copper for more of a hedge.

Alan. It's merely the brokers analytical opinion of the value of the company, divided by how many shares are in issue.

My own view is £1.20 based on an average achieved basket price of $1350, which should be exceeded with relative ease for the upcoming reporting period. The rest really is whether or not you think gold will continue it's rally for the foreseeable future... Personally, I'll think gold will hold it's strength, all the while trump is in power and Brexit remains unresolved, which takes us all the way to November next year.

Larry laffer ... Many thanks for your post and understood . I have gone with more optimism on production and costs so we are ball park with yours the conservative and mine the optimistic . Either will do quite nicely .
