REBESS4 This is your post re backfire;

Hi ken tennis - Unfortunately, your Glen backfired on you I see. - Never mind, there's always another day. - Good luck

Well let’s see now current price Glen 3.04 my avrg 299 I make that
5p a point on my current holding if sold now would give me a profit of
£3079 in 7 days so I don’t really see where the backfire comes into play.
Kind regards and happy trading

LLB .. see it the same as you . Nice rise enabled the profit takers to cash in . Lot of scavengers will have come in at 120/121 so 3/4p gain will have been nice for them . Monday will test the bottom and my guess is we need to test 125 again and if it breaks past that we can be looking at 130+ up to the publication of the EOY results and dividend. POG rise to $1321 at time of writing and post close should help . Interesting that FRES went to 997 to drop back to 972 so seems it was just end of week sell off and profit taking

LLB: Yes I agree. Lets see the rises consolidated and the gaps filled on the way up. We could see upgrades on Monday or weekend share tips.

Happy enough with +2.3% today at the close, there was always going to be some profit taking at 125p.. and we continue the journey back to 150/160p..

Analysts will be writing their reports now after their visits and can model in the resource upgrade today, with the FY2019 guidance to come on the 25th...

I think with the Dow up 300 points, defensive gold stocks are taking a back seat this afternoon.

They will be back. When the next big US sell off does finally come then the gold price will rocket, miners even more so and when the US markets turn you can sell your gold stocks and enter the general markets for the bounce.

It is a strategy that has worked for 100 years.

fres seemed to die at the same time cey did, either bit of profit taking or general commods sentiment other than underlying gold which also starting falling

seems to me that not all gold prices are equal !

bor491,

from my knowledge of resources, the indicated and inferred categories are to do with statistical certainty, hence one is usually greater than the other.

think your correct on the 1.31 grams per tonne, which of course incurs costs.

I havn't read the full details but am assuming the increased amounts are for the same acreage, not new ground. new ground obviously occurs extra cost so isnt anything like as good as increased mineralisation for same acreage.

dont forget country taxes and Ivory coast take on the resource.

If anyone can correct me happy for them to do so that have actually read it in detail and know more than me. :-)

spacedust,

no, not really, have seen these chart days before, slow steady rise all day (ummm, we hope). Not the usual choppy cey day i think.
