You can't trade in that penny pinching manner and beat the market. I don't believe a word of it.

KENNYP I know what you mean mate there’s always someone out there that thinks they know better but as far as I’m concerned if I’m making money that’s all that counts and I enjoy the challenge so onwards and upwards.
Hope your having a great break and yes I’m still holding my core holding with CEY 👍👍

If I had not traded in a similar way Ken T then I would not have core holdings in the blue so have to agree you must use your judgement and get in and out and put your balls on the line now and again ... or is that tennis 🎾 balls ??
The bait wasn’t worth the bite mate .

Rebess4 if you think £450 is pocket money then I would be very interested to know what you call good money.
I have given you information on how I trade so wondered if you could enlighten me on how you trade to make more.

It’s no good sitting watching the price go up and down for months on end when you can capitalise in these sways in price movement.

I just wonder how many hold CEY and have been stuck in it for years just watching and waiting ? the share price is currently back to what it was nearly 3 years ago that’s why I baught in at 101 but come 140 to 150 my core holding will be sold and profit bagged before it returns to 101

With reference to GLEN yes I’m down roughly 2% on £180k but you see in 2 weeks time I will take profit of at least 3to 4% then start all over again in and out with my £30 k I’ve been playing GLEN 3 months now.
GLEN is good for 360 in 6 months so play it on the way and make some profit.
I look forward to your reply as to what your trading strategy is, I’m sure it will make an interesting read.

Hmmm .. Glen does seem to keep going back to that 290 . Sure it will bounce .. substantial business. CEY getting to a level where might be a chance to load up again. My core still at weighted average 102.49p .. how about you Ken T ? Slightest bit of good news and still believe we can see another 10% from this in next month ? My daughter lives in Sydney ... nice place . We had couple of days in Blue Mountains then off to the coast ... all good . Enjoy India.

KENNYP nice one I visited Aus 2 years ago stayed with friends in a place called Nowra bout 60 mile south of Sydney me and the Mrs stayed in Sydney for first 3 days in a hotel right under Sydney harbour bridge called pier 1 feking brilliant.
Then we went to Nowra they built their own house in the middle of the woods 4mile from the main town it was so isolated but I loved it.
Had week there then went to Melbourne and done great ocean road.
Anyway given Rio boys a kick in the pants get that price moving up.
Have a great trip.

REBESS4 well when I trade GLEN I don’t put £5k in even 1.5% on 5k is £75 minus dealing and ptm for the buy and sell comes to £11 so that’s £64 profit.

My normal trade size for one tranch in GLEN is 10k shares or £30k so 1.5% is £450 less trade cost £11 = £439 profit well I don’t think that’s too bad in my book.
By the way no stamp duty on GLEN
and I’m fully loaded now it’s dropped holding just over 60k shares.
I only go in heavy on big drops.
Hope this gives you an insight of how I trade.

Hi ken tennis - Re GLEN - you're looking for a 1.5% gain then you're out again. - Is that worth the hassle? - After spread and dealing costs what are you making? - Are such pocket-money gains worth the risk?

Just a market correction on Friday ? Ken Tennis ... I’m in Oz for a couple of weeks so tempted to check up on the boys at RIO 🤓
Yes got some blue going on all round at the moment but tending to hold as nearly every share I hold at the moment has had a significantly higher year high SPs and all pay decent dividends. Trying to read one of the high SPs and might sell and re-buy which you seem to be doing very well out of

KENNYP haha looks like the old cmels went to the oasis to top up their reserves you must be doing well on it now.

I had a bit of luck the other day I sold 10000 at 238.7 then next morning got them back at 232 fek sake then it took of so im well happy with that one mate, just want CEY and FRES doing their bit.

I took 10k shares on GLEN at 303.8 this morning as a play im looking for bout 4 to 5p gain then out as I feel if copper comes off this will take glen below 3 again then I will load up.

Have to agree Larry Laffer . I think the Times comment on dividend is nonsense . The company maintains a £300m cash balance and has no real liabilities so there has been argument to maintain the dividend out of these reserves but I would be against that as it is all swings and roundabouts and would expect such folly would impact on the share price great than the divend in your pocket . There was a large inventory balance on last financials which should now be realised in the P&L so I am with you on your estimate of final dividend.

To counterbalance the drop in ore processed and gold "mined/extracted"

there should be

a consequent fall in variable costs and shipments etc.

Normally they would cut back on any capital costs that aren't essential during the troubled period. Picking these up again later when things improve.

The yield also improved through the plant even though there was less ore processed.

All in All no doubt the divi is down, but i think the board will try as hard as possible to maintain an attractive level of payment. Which is why I opted for 6p as a rough number.

I was hoping the T20 & T10 brigade would have had a positive impact these coming days, but that looks as though its not going to raise any positive reaction.

I'd give up on the dividend if the share price hit 150.

Not long to go before we find out.
