Is drilling put a metal blockage dangerous?

I thought that usual procedure would be sidetrack.

I am confused, I suppose this is to be expected, every ops update seems to bring a new set of problems...

Doesn't say that the metal object had stopped flow? Re 801, the well pressure is lower than I first thought but its consistent with initial red's @ c 365 bar. Not as high as A5 and probably flow rates will be less at c 2000bopd ish .

The well flowed at a rate of some 3,800 bopd for a 15 day period leading up to a formal flow test in Q4 2017. Several days into the formal flow test an obstruction in the well reduced the flow rate to some 1,000 bopd. As the principal purpose of the flow test was to establish a reserve estimate we decided to suspend the well test and clear out the obstruction.Recently, a metal obstruction was detected in the well and partially pulled free. The remaining metal obstruction is being drilled out, after which we hope the well will be ready for re-perform the flow test interrupted earlier in the year.Pressure in the well remains stable at around 450 bar at the wellhead, which suggests there is still good communication throughout the length of the well.

flawless.

the point that I am trying to make is.

Find a company that you believe in
find a company that you think is way undervalued

invest what you consider to be a good risk /reward and wait.

if you think that the company will be worth £1.24bn anytime in the future
6p 0r 8p does not make a great deal of difference to the end value.

X2 I also didnt think it was all the way to the bottom. That said we have not been told it was still flowing after this obstruction, i thought this obstruction was introduced whilst clearing the rock fragments no? Nothing about flowing since then, we had the 1000 whilst it had the rocks in place but before this bit of metal

Not 400m to go. I don't believe that the obstruction is all the way to TD, hopefully not! My understanding is that it's a metal object, part of casing after perforations? The well didn't stop flowing so I dont expect this to take too long. If they can't clear it, another sidetrack I presume ?

Here's to a fantastic end to the year. Let's have at least A5 back on flow in the next few weeks! Hopefully 801 as well!

johnwalton - that is by no means certain that we will go to 6p. Everyone is looking for that figure as an entry so I doubt that it will get there this time around.

The figures on MJF next year do not justify the current low share price so there could be a sharp spike at some point soon when the bottom is found - we could be there now!

I love to have a trade but at the moment - I am happy to wait and build up a bigger position in CASP as I can see that things are about to get very interesting. I can't see that we have had a lot of selling to take us down to this level so a reversal here could lock out a lot of the traders imo.

Only 400m left to drill on A5 and 801 to report too.

I will let others decide the truth.

Now back to CASP as I have nothing else to say to you. Please stop goading me your Polish goat comments etc - I'm really not interested in your childish attacks and joined here to have debate on CASP and the future of my investment.

Looks like sub 6p:(.

If you believe fill yer boots at this price.

In the Mail today it quotes a couple who have turned £1m into
£38m buying shares in one oil company. They bought at sub 4p
and the share price is £1.28.

I once bought 500k shares in Regus at 3-5p and sold at 21p.
What a mistake that was.

If you invest and spot a good company and have a drop of luck it
will beat the stress of chop and change.

Only 400m left to drill at A5. Not sure how much of the 400m has an obstruction but I don't think it will take that long? Are we talking a few weeks to get back on flow?

x2 - his hope is that as he sells and de-ramps, others will follow his advice and it will drag the price down further. He literally asked me to do this with him on twitter and that was when we fell out with each other.

My Dad has Cancer at the moment and I am having to spend a lot of time in hospital. Coffeecups knows this but he is such a worm that he is telling people that when I don't post, it is because I am not selling CASP shares and have bought a position back! I actually have to get up at 4am most days and do a 200 mile round trip to the Cancer ward. I am not angry though - I believe in Karma and he will get his...

As you are goading me I will give you one reply...

I will be 'sitting on my dead money' until 2021 and adding more 'dead money' every month from now on.

It's called an investment - not a trade.

An old spiv like you wouldn't understand obviously.

Don't get that? Selling down from this level, makes it look o sense and this isn't a stock to short as no large leverage position? Selling to buy back in at 10% lower with the risk of good news at any time? Makes no sense to me but each to their own.
