George - well, you can by in the 6's - just! I wonder how much further mms are going to push this? They have not collected that much on the way down - still very even buying and selling by the look of it? Are they looking for a capitulation move?

Just remember what I said earlier everyone - this drop is NOT due to a placing or any REAL negative factor. Although it is painful, there is no reason to believe that the share price will stay at this level for very long. Management won't want it at this level and the bargain hunters will be out in force shortly.

jotoha2 - we are waiting for 801 and A5 results plus MJF on full production licence and 3AB to go through...now also looking at A8 and 808. Lots going on but mms are in the mood for some silliness here as has happened a few times over the years!

What can we do but wait for the silliness to stop. Capitulation first unfortunately. Lots of people had T20's and will be really hurting now. This is a classic mm tactic to reset, pick up cheap shares and start the cycle again.

So what is the trigger here for a killing , their record with the drill bit is not exactly anything to write home about ! Lets assume their deep wells all fail again , then what is left to propel this upwards?

Somebody obviously over committed and taking a beating. Another Kazakh acquisition coming and a load of shares to be issued at a bargain price. I don't believe so as if the Kazakhs wanted this share price down they could do it in seconds.PI capitulation I'm afraid and leverage getting punished. Transfer of wealth before we get proper bottom feeding. Those with that dry powder will make a killing here ??

Kairats loan - Warning this is a conspiracy theory and could be a load of 8ollocks.

One of my theories on this loan is that Kuat and Kairat or another Concert party member are moving shares around again or using a financial instrument to cover what they have already moved around to circumvent the FCA.

This leads on from Kuat putting other stock into his children's name earlier.

The type of loan Kairat took out from my research is a typically Russian instrument where title but not voting rights is taken over the stock.

Does the S.P need to be around 7.4p average in order for this to circumvent Kazak internal tax laws and comply with the F.C.A. ?

bull - we will never know I guess! At least we now know why the price has come down this low. Possibly George was right and Kairat is knocking the price down so ge can buy back his loaned shares at 6.6p? Not sure what he loaned them out at but if he paid for them back now he surely has made a small fortune on them? The rich get richer as they say!

I put a buy in at 6.8 and gont nothing - not even a partial so could well be toggles worked kazak order.

George - yes, you were correct to sell at 11p...like I said, I was busy in the Radiography ward that day so was not in the mind set to do anything at that time. I don't think I would have sold anything anyway. Quite happy to hold to be honest. It is good to see that sale at 6.6p as it makes sense why the price has dropped and also could signal a floor to move back up from. Time will tell!

Bull … size the deal is typical of previous Kaz sales and the pre 11.30 am could fit that one. Also a year a go there was a major distribution amongst Kaz owners. So just possible it was a Kaz sale ???

I think this is a worked sell and already priced in. Could bounce if that is the last one? Unless there are more waiting to be unloaded but I don't think so.

I've been having chat with Richy and we both just feel like turning off the screens on CASP until the market stops playing this silly game. Not sure if that will be next week or next year. We need some good news out of CASP as mms are taking the price down too easily on small sells. The market has lost interest for the moment.

Acquisition of 3A Best

SPA signed

Further to the announcement of 31 January 2018, the Company is pleased to confirm that the Sale and Purchase Agreement for the conditional acquisition of 100% of the shares of 3A Best Group JSC ("3A Best") (the "Acquisition") for a consideration of $24 million to be satisfied by the issue of 149,253,732 shares at an issue price of 12p per share has been formally entered into. Completion of the Acquisition is now dependent upon the satisfaction of a number of post signing conditions, including the issuance of a new licence.

Background

3A Best owns a Contract Area of 1,347 sq km located close to the Caspian port city of Aktau in the Mangystau Province of Kazakhstan. The Contract Area is adjacent to and runs under the commercially successful Dunga field, which was discovered in 1966 and developed by Maersk Oil.

Based on an assessment of the geology Caspian Sunrise's technical team believe some of the geological characteristics of the Dunga Contract Area are also present at 3A Best. Additionally they believe the area 2,500 meters and below the Dunga Contract area, which forms part of the 3A Best Contract Area, also indicates the likely presence of oil.

490 sq km of 3D seismic has been shot. 1,327 linear km of 2D has been digitised and reprocessed. C2 reserves, using the Soviet system of classification, of 3.67 million tonnes (approximately 26.8 mbbls) have been assigned to the 3A Best Contract Area.

Two wells have been drilled on the Contract Area in recent years, both encountering water and signs of oil & gas, although neither was commercially successful.

For the year ended 31 December 2016 the loss after tax was $1.4 million.

Caspian Sunrise would, by completing the acquisition of 3A Best, become responsible for the outstanding work programme commitment represented by the drilling of one well to a depth of 3,000 meters at an estimated cost of up to $2 million.

jw - if you are talking about the company - you could look at it that way. However, they will be taking a longer-term view of the situation. Why pay $6million for something you can get for free?

Why also put yourself in the situation where it looks like you are buying an asset for more shares than required...yes - this is the scam if this is what is happening. It does seem strange that the news flow has slowed in-line with this 3AB purchase. We were full-speed ahead last November - now on go slow...why?? The most obvious thing is that until 3AB is approved by the Kaz government and UK regularors, we will just be getting everything ready for a bonanza Summer rather than slowly releasing news that could make things very complicated for us on a regulatory basis.
