No better bull signal for a stock than director purchases. Let's hope this gets some publicity around the market.

Great to see a Director buying a substantial amount!

Patience required I'm afraid.

nice buy indeed, there was a 2mil trade went through
the day before he bought, there was speculation on this
board as to whether it was a buy, I personally think it
was. I think at last they are getting to grips with a
difficult drill.

I guess I was not trying to defend CC so much as remind ourselves its the decisions and quality of the work out in Kazakhstan that is the root of our disappointment. Another mindless week ahead of us I assume .

More RNS's are possible before 20th Sep, date when 2017 Interims were posted.

Konil - my thought are very similar to yours.

I got the impression the layest RNS was rushed - someone (maybe us?) has finally got through to Carver to ask WTF is going on.

A full update on all operations must due, they need to get into a routine of regular updates from the shallow wells if they're to be taken seriously.

casp rns's - inaccurate, incomplete, contradictory, confusing, over-optimistic is how i would describe it and therefore misleading, yes, but giving benefit of doubt, perhaps not intentionally so. oil explo has many hurdles and unforseen problems towards the end goal, so 'lying' is perhaps too strong?

i fully agree about "responsibility to the shareholders" but as the main shareholders are also mostly management/insiders they already know the status, so communicating with the 'inconsequential' 19% takes a back seat i guess - however, that does not excuse their poor record in this regard.

i would like to know about the production licence, progress on shallow ops and 3abest deal - these are not inconsequential matters, so they should report on these, news is overdue.

regardless of their poor ir, with no debt and seemingly fantastic assets on which they have spent tens of millions developing towards monetisation, casp remains a strong candidate for multibaggong from here on shallows alone, deeps add a turbocharge to that.

Maxim,Have to agree with our Roy. He's the CEO and responsible for the RNS content. After reading the contradiction over time, you'd u understand why. He's getting paid handsomely to be the Western money man.He can t control the drill bit but he can report accurately, he doesn't!Only good thing is that they're taking a non dilutive approach to business, one of the reasons I stay invested.

You say cc is not to blame but he is,anyone with an ounce of self respect would
not put his name to the lying and misleading information that he has for over a decade. Or does he not have a responsibility to the shareholders.

We have to remind ourselves CC is just the mouthpiece. All news flow on the drilling and progress or otherwise is generated by the Kazakh's in country. Its their ability to execute which is the key driver, and clearly they have made errors around choice of drill rig , mud viscosity , drill teams etc and made very slow headway. I am sure CC could have done a better job on managing investor expectations but he is not to blame for the slow development of the deeps. In the meantime as yet the deeps all remain potentially very rewarding and the shallows are the back stop as it were.I will add though this waiting for real progress is so so boring.

Anybody who has been invested here knows when we get another chapter of Carverspeak. How can it take 9 weeks to perforated and flow a well ?? Obviously not been cased and when it was, they've had problems handling the heat and pressure again. Sane old story for each well and it's like Groundhog Day.I can't believe that the share price has held up or is holding up and that's probably due to our larger shareholders who are hanging in there.Where's the shallow update ?surely there's something to say ?Doesn't smell right and there's only so much Carvetspeak I can stomach.Smarty

Judging by the way the have manipulated today's reporting (the 150k was my SELL),I think the 2.5m trade was also a sell which is what crashed the price Either that or it was an in-house movement that was meaninglessSee you in a month or 2....

the rns is all about the deeps, fair enough because that's how the heading reads. its sort of 'neutral' - no bad news, no good news, snail like progress continues towards end goal for deeps.

what i also want to know is;

1. what has happened to the production licence for the shallows and have they started on new shallow drilling, if not, they are just beginning to slip on the shallow programme. this is (supposedly) the low risk part of the work plan, the drilling is straight forward and quick, the payback is quick, the combined final numbers are big, and in totality its a company maker even without the deeps - so i want to know what's happening here.

2. what is happening with 3abest, deal or no deal, i sense it is consuming much of managment's time and attention, bwdik.

settling back for another long spell of no news, though could be pleasantly surprised by an rns on the two items above.

Deep Well 801

As previously announced our plan to bring Deep Well 801 into production was by drilling a side track of between 450 - 500 meters from a starting depth of 4,501 meters.

Having identified potential oil bearing (net-pay) intervals covering in aggregate 121 meters so far during the drilling of the side-track, we have decided to stop the side-track at a depth of 4,851 meters and, after running and cementing a 5-inch liner to the full depth of the side-track, to test the well.

Four potentially oil bearing intervals have been identified during drilling and supported by mud log data. The first of 6 meters between 4,535 and 4,541 meters; the second is of 20 meters between 4,554 and 4,694 meters; the third is of 59 meters meters between 4,635 and 4,694 and the fourth is of 36 meters between 4,812 and 4,848 meters.

The pressure in Well 801 remains high indicating good connectivity. As the side-track has been drilled using lower density drilling mud we expect the task of getting the well to flow to allow testing to commence should be easier than previously drilled deep wells.

What's different???
