JG,

Sorry mate. I know our Mr Carver and his communication is not honest. Read back through time and you'll understand. The share price reaction today says it all and unfortunately the results don't match his commentary, very disappointing indeed. Not saying we don't get a result on A6 or 808 but from his commentary it seemed a slam dunk, obviously not !!

(T/brush). All I see is the last 15 and only 1 is a sell and as you say..small transactions. Interesting to see how this pans out by end of play. G/LUCK.

(Control1) pray tell us WHY in your EXPERT opinion A6 is a (duffer) ??? And YOU SAY ?? That's why it's down ??? At the moment it's down but let's just see what the price is at end of play. Don't panic over a penny drop you will be a nervous wreck (if it's that important to you) then you should not be investing in AIM shares. Only invest what you can afford to lose. Just sitting back chilling and waiting for your expert reply to your duffer remark. Many thanks. :0)

Large long term holders staying put by the looks and not selling. No buyers either.

What's happening here I expected a surge this morning.

We've now had 5 buys and sells in 20 minutes and the share price is down 2p.

Clive can't win. People not happy and moan about no RNS,s. Then when a RNS is released ( SOME ) still moan as it's not up to there own personal expectations. Maybe thay should invest somewhere else if there confidents is waiving. we all want it to be a success BUT it takes time. As we head towards the merger being signed and sealed I would think the news flow will increase. G/LUCK ALL.

Not that great an update though is it? Their first hack at 808 has produced water and they're currently valued at £100m with c.1100bpd sold at $16 with a lot more shares to come in the merger.
The deeps had better be extremely prolific imo.

maxim, some years ago i tried to look into oip values for kaz based on transactional info (i.e. sales/purchases of companies or assets). data was thin on the ground and inconclusive, and i haven't revisited any material, but from memory it seemed deep assets might fetch between $1 to $3 in kaz allowing for country risk. by contrast in the U.S. perhaps $7 to $10 given the greater political and contractual stability. but in those days op was over $100 compared to $50 or less today.

also there is not a straight line correlation between op and oip values because the fixed costs remain more or less the same regardless of op so the reduction in profit is magnified as the op drops.

whatever the figure one assumes, it is likely to be incorrect, and i doubt even the operating entities themselves truly know their own cost/profit profile beforehand, which probably can only be determined 'after the fact', i.e. only historically once accounts are audited based on actual operations and oil sales.

some (jonny a.k.a. ngms, comes to mind) would probably argue that deep oip would be no more than perhaps 50cents.

the $15 you mention that was stated by the company sounds like pie in the sky and wishful thinking on their part, the bottom of the range at $5 seems more realistic for shallow assets which are cheaper to extract.

so its a matter of picking a number and making a case, knowing its only a guess at best.

as for the prozac, its a prerequisite when investing on aim a poorly regulated market, in small under-researched companies with poor newsflow, with majority holdings in a few foreign hands, in frontier territory like kaz, in an industry like oil e&p which is renowned for bankruptcies and low success rates!! but, heh! other than that what's to go wrong. :~)

Konil good post, thanks. Looking at your numbers is $2bbls for p2 not overly conservative? I actually asked that very question to the co and the initial reply was $15 and after a small debate of those present, the conclusion was that the bottom end of their (!) range was $5. So even if you haircut that it still makes $2 look cautious. However, as we know , approaching Caspian with anything more than extreme scepticism can lead to another couple of Prozac. General views on reserve valuations in the ground in that Geography?

(Hotdeal).the.Simple answer is...Only invest what you can afford to lose. Investing your hard earned cash in AIM really is a gamble that can pay well BUT you can also lose the shirt off your back. G/luck.

Konil. I have to agree with regards to the 700mmboe.BUT as you say 200/300mmboe over a 29 year period for starters will do for me. When/if that happens can't come soon enough. But plenty of news prior to that happening (IMO). G/luck with your casp investment.
