maxim, given the variety and scale of news expected its probably too soon to devise exit strategies - nonetheless i too contemplate various scenarios! if i have the stomach for it i intend to hold through the initial ups and downs to see where the share price settles - of course it may not settle anywhere - but biggest bang for buck will be from these levels and having waited so long i'd kick myself for selling too soon.

re. £1, its not fanciful but could take quite some time in coming while casp start proving up the reserves. there is a chance if a deep or two come good that hype may take over and share price overreact upwards but the drop as realism and disenchantment set in could be just as sudden!

in short i haven't a scooby, but i guess neither does anyone else, other than perhaps company men who know the details of the assets and can evaluate more sensibly the longer term risk/reward outcomes.

Wow the lack of news and the inability to get any RNS out is mind blowing even by Carver / Caspian standards. I just listened to one of those vlogs on the website talking about news due in the next couple of weeks. Its sort of frustrating in the extreme.

When I am bored I try and work out a trading strategy to trade out of my shares. I think I will sell some 20p+ depending on what the news is and then stagger out more sales as the share price goes higher. Is £1 too naive and fanciful?
Anybody got any other ideas what they may do ?

yes, fed up with lack of news on all fronts including test results on the latest shallow well. we've had no detail on the deep remedial works for a year or more, only a repetition of what they intend to do for each well.

just wonder if all op news (good and bad) being held up pending completion of merger, which afaik still awaits kaz green light. if so, i can only guess that its because it relates somehow to funding strategy post-merger. presumably without simplification of the corporate structure to make it more transparent funding is unlikely to be achieved.

in any case any significant fund raising will require casp to release all op info fully to the prospective financier(s), be it equity or debt, so why hold up op news meantime?

on the other hand i do wonder if they can manipulate the timing of news to such a large degree, in flagrant transgression of rules, a few days perhaps, but weeks and months? and if there is no news what have they been doing on the deeps for the last 12 months?

??? Were did you learn from ( Cliar ????) that if the RNS was delayed it would not be a good RNS. Are you saying the next RNS is delayed. Can't find any info regarding your comment ??? News will come when casp are ready. You seem unhappy with your casp investment ( IF )....you are invested here ???? Strange comment (63frank)??? More like a derampers comment. one and only comment to you . Till the next RNS .bye bye .

No update as usual on monday. I am not sure how long it will take for logging data analysis and testing on 808, but learned from Cliar that it would not be good if the RNS delayed. Maybe, clown Cliar might seek for someting special to replace 808. Don't understand why Cliar has been so silent for sidetrack at A5 and even no single word for 801 since 28 Sep 2016.

Nonetheless will wait till the end of 2nd quarter, and will see whether Cliar keep his word saying through podcast a couple of times or any new excuses as used to lth. GL!

Xc2. All seem upset as no news at the moment. As soon as news lands on our door step there will be posters coming out of the woodwork and the posters moaning will be a thing of the past.

JG,

This board isn't hugely populated by lots of posters that post on an hourly basis. I believe everybody here has a good grasp of the subject matter and there's not much new to debate and hence the minimal posting. You're entitled to post what you want but don't expect to get much interaction unless the subject matter is new and worth debating.

Things will change on success or failure as hot money appears or cold money exits. I would suggest that everybody here is aware of the current situation and as you say, operational success is all we care about at this juncture.

The volume traded is not inspiring, very strange as if you believed Carver and WHI, then it would hugely different. I would say that the market has heard it all before, now's the time to minimise the talking and start the walking -:)

I wouldn't get excited by the Munailly campaign as I don't believe these work overs will deliver great returns but happy to be proved wrong. Companies have had success with former Soviet wells as technology much improved BUT I'm not expecting any fireworks. What it shows is that CASP are utilising all their current opps to deliver the P2 required to hit their June target. One thing for sure, the clock is ticking and there'll be more activity in the next 15 months than there's been since inception.Smarty

Website.
"We have concluded an agreement with a Chinese company to re-enter up to 24 wells drilled during Soviet times with our Chinese partner bearing the drilling costs and any incremental production being split on a 50:50 basis. To date 4 wells have been re-entered but it is too earlier to predict with confidence how successful they will be."
