CARTER & CARTER - Cancellation of Listing


CARTER & CARTER has requested cancellation of listing of its CARTER & CARTER ORD GBP0.04 Shares from the London Stock Exchange.


The cancellation of listing and trading became effective on 25th March 2008.

You should be aware that you can no longer sell or otherwise trade in your shares on the London Stock Exchange.

Would have been better burning the cash, at least would have got some heat from it!!

Saw the announcement of zero returns to shareholders by the Administrator in todays newspaper. My commiseration to shareholders who have now lost their whole stake here !

The only consolation is that you can just squeeze it in as a 40% tax loss before the year end. A couple of weeks later and it would have only been worth 18% compared to 40% now.

Its a sad end. It wouldn't surprise me if some ex employees or current employees will buy the assets out of admin and start a new company up with no debt. What I dont know is whether something like would would have happened if Carter was still alive. A sad end and a shame be passed away.

I am absolutely ashamed!! Come on guys, the company was trading well until the unforeseen accident, I also have lost big time on this, but you will see me posting such comments and some of those posted here - I appreciate people have lost money, but please, someone has lost their life - think of family/friend members that may read these comments.

might be worth a look at ACE share price stupidly low... might be worth a punt... DYOR as usual. Some of Carter & Carterts staff now work there or so im told...not of the phil carter variety either i hasten to add.
