Just gone into auction at 84p. A buy order for 10K shares at 84p prompted this after the last few trades were sells. Currently it looks like it will exit at 81-84p but another couple of minutes of the auction left yet...

v0110 - I don't disagree with anything you say but I am still sitting on the sidelines. I am not really comfortable buying until we know what the equity issue will involve, as saifon said there is a big danger of a death spiral in which the price drops and this forces the equity issue to be at an ever lower level. In my opinion companies should not announce they need to raise equity unless they can also announce a done deal at the same time. I actually think this is cheap at the current price but I can see it going lower unless they can get their act together quickly.

I think you may find that the equity issue is a done deal.

Infact, I wouldn't be surprised if the people who sold yesterday aren't the same people who will be buying the equity issue at a reduced price.

I am sure Cart has a few friends they owe a favour to who have been supportive through this difficult period.

All of course in my humble opnion without any advice implied!

I think right issue is priced in the price today (and considering that would result into dilution), the upside might be capped at some level. We saw earlier that to happen at 130 region. I still feel that 125-130 is the region but current market seems to indicate 100-110 once again as resistance.

Until the terms of the right issue are not known, the effect of possible dilution cannot be estimated but my reasonable expectation is 1 for 2 or 1 for 3 right issue. The accumulated short position is equivalent to 1 for 5 right issue.

I do not see downside with the right issue (as I possibly mentioned on other thread). we only need to watch for panic driven sales as we witnessed yesterday! Almost threw me off my chair when I saw the screen. Good thing I only rely on soft stop, when alerts starts screaming and SMS start arriving but no one can trigger them unless I have had chance to judge the situation. Worked well for me in these volatile shares.

Looks like there is talk of a rights issue ont'other thread.

I only think a rights issue is a good idea, if they use some of the proceeds to pay off some of their debt...
