This seems to happen every year with many people planning their investments for the new year. The MM's 'Shaking the trees'. I also dont think that the current move upwards is not necessarily Trump effect. >Pierre On my last five cruises with P&O the food was barely acceptable and Arcadia's food both restaurant and buffet was served warm. The new menu (restaurant) is not a patch on the past. The fortnightly menu rota stands out like a sore thumb and there seems to be a move from chefs to cooks in the kitchens. Dishes not checked before service. P&O should be congratulated on their cost control and obtaining GP's food and bar, but this is very noticeable and in my opinion not the way forward. It should not be so noticeable. They are also are starting to get a lot of bad reviews on You tube. This is not good and should not happen. S |
Posted at 30/1/2025 10:25 by sardine2 Share price Great!Something to think about. - Tortola is a small and wonderful island to visit, one of the Windy Isles in the Caribbean. It has a fantastic beach on the other side of the island with views of several of the other islands including St Thomas (US). Road Town the capital (tiny)had just built their first jetty for cruise ships some twenty-five years ago on my first visit with just under a 1000 fellow passengers. I just happened to look at Vessel Finder the other day to see Iona and Ariva tied up on opposite sides of that jetty. Moreover, they could only get a quarter of their ships tied up against the walking part of that jetty. I would have hated to see that beach which I have visited numerous times. Not for me. Happy New Year! |

The firm lowered its 2025 EPS forecast for Carnival to $1.91 from $2.00 but increased its 2026 projection to $2.27 from $2.25. The new price target is based on a 2026 price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio target of 13 times, which remains consistent with previous assessments. |

Posted at 15/1/2025 13:54 by smurfy2001 Carnival Corporation & plc Announces Repricing of Senior Secured First Lien Term Loan B Facilities as Part of Ongoing Interest Expense ReductionMIAMI, Jan. 13, 2025 -- Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK) today announced that Carnival Corporation (the "Company") has closed its repricing of approximately $700 million of term loans (such repriced loans, the "2027 Repriced Loans") under its first-priority senior secured term loan facility maturing in 2027 and approximately $1.75 billion of term loans (such repriced loans, the "2028 Repriced Loans") under its first-priority senior secured term loan facility maturing in 2028 (together, the "Repricing Transactions"). The Repricing Transactions are a continuation of the Company's ongoing interest expense reduction. The reduction in interest rates is expected to result in interest expense savings of approximately $18 million on an annualized basis. |

If you have looked at the chart you will see that the share price has gone rapidly upwards in the last six weeks during which of time it has broken out several times the last being 1800ish. The share price is now in a large void 1800 to 3000 which I think we are of year we are well on our way back to the pre covid price of 3000ish. Yesterday being a Monday we saw some shaking of the share trees by some big players including mm getting in at good price including traders looking for a good quick profit. In my opinion the share price will go up quite quickly from here. I am currently on Arcadia sat in the buffet having afternoon tea in Cadiz. |

Queens room is small and the crew brings cheap plastic chairs all around to house more people. The main chairs are comfortable enough, just not enough space for more. Very small amount of formal dancing, lack of outside space, very understated small atrium, generally too many people for the space. Food just up to par. Still she sailed full which means she's incredibly profitable. Most welcome spoke too had the same opinion and would stick to the other 3 Cunard ships in the future.CCL price wise will go much higher imv and in a year or two will hit all time highs again, which is around 60 quid iirc. A Slater fallen angel. |
