wow another increase in the short position to 23.67% interesting that this time
the longs were stronger and the share price increased.

Battle lines being drawn, this is going to get ugly at some point.

Kier has slightly lower margins but also has lower debt and smaller pension deficit (see my earlier post).

export credit finance provided by uk government the uk government has greased the wheels which should help clln keep its costs down and reduce the risk of non or slow payment. A few more details of the range of things the uk government provide at the bottom of this article

Could anyone please enlighten me on how the financing works for a project such as the one spoole5 has linked to? Are CLLN having to take out a loan for upfront costs? I understand there will be costs in winning a contract but are CLLN and any partners taking (paying for) some of the risk at the start of the build? Doesn't the customer (Bee'ah) pay anything up front eg on commissioning ? Thanks in advance.

Spoole - I have wondered that. Several with similar margins but only CLLN has any shorting of note. Not sure how peers compare on debt ratios and pens deficits. It is tempting to look for conspiracy theories. All we have is the coincidence with the CL notes; also, was not long after CLLN tried to takeover BBY.

Can someone point out why this is treated so differently to kier when their businesses are similar, kier has lower margins but quite high debt but commands almost twice the multiple?
