26/7/2016 16:02 | Topped up here... | zcaprd7
26/7/2016 08:02 | In for another £2k worth. | tini5
26/7/2016 08:00 | Two good statements today. From a chart perspective we are at what appears to be a crucial moment as whether we move up or down from 260p either breaking the trend or confirming the weakness. | rcturner2
25/7/2016 20:35 | I top sliced National Grid on 16 June at £11.435 and rolled the proceeds into CLLN @ £2.29. Not only did my gearing go up 4000 NG to 19,791 CLLN, but NG have fallen 35p and CLLN have risen 30p! It is not often timing works that well for me but, in this market, moving cash around can be beneficial. | ridicule
25/7/2016 18:50 | Bit of strength recently, is this the bottom? | zcaprd7
25/7/2016 16:10 | Those that I have held continuously for the last decade have paid a cumulative dividend of about 147p. Can't recall my exact buying price but the fall in share price in the last couple of years is still nowhere near putting me in the red. One day the capital gain will return as well. | wad collector
22/7/2016 20:32 | I hold these in the LTBH part of my pension (I'm only 37) and have been averaging down over recent months. The 7% yield (2x covered) is amazing - wish there were other things whih were on such a low rating, high yield and sensible divi cover. Happy to hold these for years | adamb1978
22/7/2016 15:52 | Same as wad, pretty much. | redartbmud
22/7/2016 15:51 | Funny but I have 2.78 a month ago. A good buy and I also bought more, however I will be holding to above £3 and even that is far too cheap. We seem to have lost touch with fundamentals here. | lab305
22/7/2016 14:07 | They were 258 a month ago and I didn't jump then! I jumped 2 weeks ago at around 230. But as I still have about 20k from earlier buys I am hardly losing faith. | wad collector
22/7/2016 08:27 | To those selling do you really feel better out than in ? I suspect that offered the shares at 2.58 a month ago you would have jumped at the chance. A better home for your money will be difficult to find ! | lab305
21/7/2016 20:34 | wad I am in the same position. I bought trading stock at £2,36 and bits. it might be time to lighten the load. red | redartbmud
21/7/2016 14:11 | The dividend is well covered here, I think a cut is very unlikely. | rcturner2
21/7/2016 12:56 | Agree it is also a good hold , but I had got too heavy here and recent buys were only meant to be short term. | wad collector
21/7/2016 12:39 | Seems reasonable. I am waiting for more here wad, but then I probably have a smaller weighting here. 6.9% yield if it is sustainable (cannot see why not right now) is a solid marker of value. Oc course if perchance it was cut by say 30% the yield would just be "good", but it still feels a solid enough business at the price. | edmundshaw
21/7/2016 10:40 | Let my recent trading stock go at 256 ; 11% in 2 weeks is OK and will buy into BTs weakness today. | wad collector
21/7/2016 08:13 | Nothing against the scots - if allowed I would vote SNP myself ;) | joe say
20/7/2016 17:26 | Just jesting. I am half Scots myself... and not even sure Carillion would get the job... The really good laugh of the day was the IMF turning round and saying Britain would have the second biggest growth in the world this year, after issuing the most apocalyptic prognosis for our economy on a Brexit outcome before the vote. | edmundshaw
20/7/2016 17:21 | Anyway , Scottish is a nationality not a race. He could be accused of being nationalist , but that might be misunderstood. | wad collector
20/7/2016 17:01 | Not all us Scots subsrcibe to the Sturgeon diet Joe, most Scots love you outlanders! | getscenic
20/7/2016 11:45 | Why not build the wall anyway? And make it as tall as possible ;) | joe say
20/7/2016 10:46 | She can't ; Scotland cannot have Independence , stay in the EU and keep the Pound. She is shafted. That is why she is so unhappy. | wad collector
20/7/2016 08:45 | Well, they can start by building a large wall next to Hadrian's, assuming Sturgeon gets her way :) | edmundshaw
19/7/2016 21:00 | I believe CLLN was part of a consortium hoping to get contracts for HS2. Whilst I hold CLLN, I am not in favour of HS2. But I am in favour of Keynesian style public works (as mentioned above). But why wait for demand and investment to shrink? Get on and do it. And make sure the projects are all outside of London/SE. | m4rtinu |
