fellows2,

I think the copany will only release results twice a year - interims and full.

Best we can hope for before the end of the year is a trading statement or a RNS concerning acquisitions.

I am afraid that with these stocks, it is quite normal to have quick flurries or exitement followed by long periods of tedium!

...and it continues albeit not on big trades today.

I am up to my self-imposed limit on this one and am sitting on very large gains. Nevertheless, will not be selling any time soon.

By the way this is a good "recession stock" for people like myself who have a bearish view on the UK economy.

Has anyone else noticed the buying that has been going on over the last week?

Last Friday some quite large buys went through - looks like institutions are adding.

Price is ticking up as there are few sellers around - certainly not me!

Some of you may have seen this in the news:

On the face of it the prospect of an investigation into every home is bad news for CTH.

However, the reverse is probably true. For "owner occupier" homes, this is another piece of red tape that makes their life more difficult - it is much harder for them to have the proceedure manuals, complaints manuals, development manuals etc. In the end the beleagured home owner spends so much time filling in forms and so much money complying with every regulation that the whole things becomes just too much. I know this from first hand - my folks are seriously considering selling out to a major - the forms are carried around in 3 large cardboard boxes!

This is exactly what has happened with old folks homes -increased regulation & scrutiny plays into the hands of the big boys who have a head office able to pump out government-pleasing polcy & procedure manuals etc. This leads to consolidation within the industry; whether it leads to better standard of care is another matter and not really for this board.

only a question of time before we see 350p to 400p in my opinion if they can continue to grow at 70% year on year.

I'd like to think that its a nice surprise to come back from holiday and see the results and the share price rise, but to be honest it really is no surprise at all.

No doubt things will calm down now for another 6 months, but I for one will sit tight - if you want to see the long term potential look at CUK or McCarthy and Stone. The industry is ripe for consolidation and there is plenty of profit uplift potential.

Well done to all holders! Cheers
