07/4/2006 14:05 | This is about as exciting as pulling teeth. Is thier anyone thier or do you get let out over the weekends | bleunose
02/4/2006 09:05 | Thanks for last coulple of posts. I am looking for some diversion in my portflio and obviously decent growth during a 5 year period. | bleunose
31/3/2006 16:06 | Thanks for the information Woodsman2004. Does anyone have any details of the actual results, which don't appear to have generated a bout of frenzied trading activity as yet - maybe Monday once they've arrived through the letter boxes - not mine though. | speedieruk
31/3/2006 10:57 | bluenose, You are right that there is a lack of interest in the shares on AIM at present. However, from my experience interest does slowly pick up one the first set of results are nailed to the board - this generates an inch or two in Investor Chronicle etc Then you get the odd more adventurous institution buying in which in turn attracts more private punters etc It certainly wont be a speedy process however! | woodsman2004
31/3/2006 10:54 | By way of comparison and an example of what is possible, here are some figures from Care UK Plc (CUK): First column turnover, second column pre-tax profit. Figs in £m 30-Sep-01 81.24 4.46 30-Sep-02 97.79 4.88 30-Sep-03 114.88 6.27 30-Sep-04 136.07 10.70 30-Sep-05 156.68 12.45 Forecasts: 30-Sep-06 176.39 16.80 30-Sep-07 183.76 20.63 Since 2002, the share price has risen from circa £2 to £4.66 today and has been paying divis albeit not at a spectacular yield. As CTH is starting from a much lower base, if they are successful I would be hopeful that even better share price growth is possible in the long term. | woodsman2004
30/3/2006 17:03 | Thanks for info. I was curious about future purchases. I know that their is be plenty of money in the care game. My only worry would be the lack of share interest on and AIM share like this. What has moved this before news or profits driven | bleunose
20/3/2006 15:10 | im here woody. looks ready fr a breakout | plantronics
19/3/2006 10:53 | No idea why the rise the last few days but I found this in the Times today which might explain why the sector is appealing. | mitzis
16/3/2006 15:00 | I suppose its the same reason for the 5% fall previously! i.e. I have no idea! To be honest, unless there are any RNS announcement re acquisitions, I doubt there will be much action until the interims to 30th June are announced in July/Aug. I bought some more the other day but my puny purchase obvioulsy did not move the price. IMHO this is an ideal stock for economic bears like myself. | woodsman2004
16/3/2006 13:51 | Any reason for 5% move up today? | saltedcrab
28/2/2006 15:48 | Topped up today on weakness - feeling very good about it. It does seems that there is a small recurrent seller around but hard to prove.....hopefully will be cleared out soon. Anyway, this is a stock for the medium to long term. One interesting comparison with regard to what is possible is one of my old favourites - CUK . Its MCAP has gone from £25m to £250m in 3 years. This company (care homes) is also operating in a previously fragmented market where the small operators are rapidly being strangled by red tape. 1st half results to 31st March should be announced prior to mid june. | woodsman2004
23/2/2006 10:52 | Still a buy in my opinion when are the next results due..? | mitzis
23/2/2006 10:05 | Looking good. Not going to be a fast ride but I am really confident of the long term prospects for this company. As I have written before, the regulatory environment has very much moved in favour of these types of company. | woodsman2004
13/2/2006 22:02 | I did! By the way..... '.......and social services.' | cortez
13/2/2006 08:54 | very true, but look at their stock price chart! | woodsman2004
11/2/2006 20:43 | Agreed. But liking it to DTY may mean the kiss of death..... | cortez
23/1/2006 12:06 | I can see no reason why current forecasts will not be beaten, and furthermore I can see no reason why over the next 5 years this will not prove to be a very good solid growth stock. I see it as similar to investments in Dignity (DTY) and previously Westminster Healthcare. Both of these companies operate in the "health service" sector and enjoyed/ are enjoying superb growth. Basically, for many reasons small (family) businesses in these sectors are finding it increasingly difficult to make money as they are slowly strangled by governement red tape. The big groups are able to handle the red tape as well as employing obvious economies of scale. Whether the "standardisation" of care is a good thing for society is another matter..... | woodsman2004
20/1/2006 20:47 | This months edition of SCSW advises holders to keep buying as they reckon forecasts will be beaten. | mitzis
16/1/2006 10:11 | Nice move up today.... | mitzis
13/1/2006 11:18 | Judging by the lots of small trades, I suspect that some news has leaked somewhere. Very fishy but being a small AIM company the FSA has never shown much interest is suspicious trading patters in such companies. | woodsman2004 |
