12/6/2006 09:05 | This is a rock-steady relatively low risk growth stock - for the reasons mentioned in previous posts. With all the turbilence in the wider market, this is a very safe place to moor your ship in the storm and I am damn glad I had the balls to buy more - this is now my largest holding. | woodsman2004
10/6/2006 10:57 | Strange the way it spiked upwards yesterday afternnon and then fell back again but with every day I am feeling more confident that they remain undervalued..my target is 250p for year end. | mitzis
07/6/2006 14:45 | Hey hey hey.. what did I say..! | mitzis
01/6/2006 16:13 | another run up to 210p...as I said lots of patience.. | mitzis
30/5/2006 09:37 | You need patience with this one.. lots of it..! | mitzis
30/5/2006 09:10 | a bit acquisition today......earnings enhancing in the current year! Hopefully at least one share will be traded! | woodsman2004
18/5/2006 09:15 | Good dfensive stock this one and a bargain sub 190p.. cheers. | mitzis
18/5/2006 09:14 | If I get a chance to get any more of this stock at sub 190p then I will add right up to the limit I set myself for any one stock. | woodsman2004
18/5/2006 08:50 | ....but not today! Keep your nerve boys! | woodsman2004
16/5/2006 08:55 | I bought this stock not only because I think it has good growth potential but because it is potentially a "safe port in a storm". With the recent market turmoil I was somewhat pleased to see that this was the only stock in my portfolio not to fall!!! | woodsman2004
13/5/2006 14:57 | SCSW have again recommended them as a buy in the May issue, following the Delcam acquisition. Mention that Brewin Dolphin have upgraded their forecasts. | kenmill
04/5/2006 11:10 | Good acquisition in my eyes. | bleunose
04/5/2006 09:34 | Excellent news. I have absolutely no doubt that CTH will be able to squeeze extra profits out of these new homes, not least because the cost of debt will probably be reduced. | woodsman2004
03/5/2006 09:14 | Nice earnings enhancing acquisition announced this morning. | sheik yerbouti
28/4/2006 15:34 | Bluenose, Ironically we have found in that in the residential care market, rising house prices are actually bad news as it means that the homes or the land that you buy are much more expensive. Up and down the country thousands of residential care homes are either being converted to private residences or bulldozed in order to build lots of McHomes. For residential home owners the choice has been to work all hours for a small return wiping people's backsides or sell out to property developers and relax. | woodsman2004
28/4/2006 12:36 | Looks like its up to us two to get this share where we want it. My sugestion is to get all the new people that go into a home to buy some shares and give us the voting rights. With house prices going up this will underpin the growth .Good news coming soon . Are you thier Woody ? | bleunose
28/4/2006 09:01 | Agree, stocks like this often tick down very gently as less patient holders get bored and look for action elsewhere in the exciting (and risky) exploration and minerals stocks etc. The good thing about this stock is that I dont think it is affected too much by the wider market (which I believe is overvalued) and the economy in general (which I think will take a turn for the worse this year). I reckon that assuming no nasties/disasters £2.40 is a minimum target for year end (a not to be sniffed at 24% return for new holders). If people do "sell in may and go away" in the wider market, this stock could become a safe haven and £3 (55% return) is achievable. | woodsman2004
26/4/2006 19:26 | Slipping down on no news/no interest. As long as we get some soooon i will be happy. Anyone give us some guesses as to end of year share price. I will go with this years aquisitions increasing turnover by 50-75% . I will go for £3.00 end of year. | bleunose
19/4/2006 16:25 | Blusenose, As i understand it, net debt at 30 September was £13.7m, prior to the receipt of the £10m net proceeds of the placing at flotation. So in theory they had debt of £3.7m against a agreed credit limit of £20m from RBOS. Given that in 2005 the group spent circa £9m on acquisitions/buildin That said of course, if market conditions are favourable, they might decide to tap the stock market rather than the banks - this has the advantage that they dont have to pay interest and that it keeps their banking lines free for a rainy day! | woodsman2004
19/4/2006 13:22 | Woody, Any idea what cash they have for new purchases.Or will they be coming for share consolidation. | bleunose
19/4/2006 12:55 | No idea Bluenose. Not much volume - brokers seem to lowever the price every time there is a sell and increase it every time there is a buy - I managed to increase the price myself by 5p last week! | woodsman2004
17/4/2006 13:28 | Happy Easter to all holders. Any reasons for the recent fall ? MMs getting ready for some news ? Getting some cheaper stock. | bleunose
11/4/2006 09:26 | Certainly is dull...on the other hand the early bird catches the worm (if it does not die from starvation or boredom first). As the half-yearly results will be unaudited results, I expect them to be announced before the end of May. I expect the results to be good, if not spectacular and will generate a bit of share price growth which will gradually slacken off as rigor mortis sets in again over the summer months. As I have said earlier, this is a long term medium growth stock with limited downside - ideal bear food | woodsman2004
09/4/2006 16:29 | Hi Bleunose. I'm still here, waiting to hear about the results. | speedieruk |
