Anyway, gp, has been consolidated. Should add a few million to profits for next year. Other websites are/have been upgraded. A few more stores open. Trading on a pe of 5-something for what I expect next year. There's nothing to do but buy more, pick up your dividends and wait for the weighing-machine to do it's thing. |
So we have another greeting card event this week - Valentine's Day, which apparently is being expanded by the non-conventionally gender-aligned community who are increasingly sending "Palentine" cards. Well, that's what I think I heard on the radio over the weekend! |

I see Moonpig is up another 7.5p (3.4%].
Galling, in view of the fact it has more or less an equal number of shares in issue,
it makes less profit per share, (10p v 14p), it pays a tiny dividend, (1p v 4.5p), it is valued at nearly 2.5 times CF.
Fundamentally, Moonpig is a worse business performer than CARD, yet more highly valued by the market for some obscure reason. |

Exactly, I can't see anyone taking over the stores and carrying on as if they were WHS as that format has been unsuccessful, so I agree most likely a positive for Card who will pick up more customers. |
If they can sell all the high street shops to someone who wants to change their use that is great for CARD. The high street won't be further hollowed out, and there is also less competition for CARD in cards, gifts, party items. A real win situation for CARD. |
