Good luck holders for tomorrow. We've been in this one together for a while now so let's hope for a good day. My average is 33p - bought in two chunks. Too early at 38p some time in 2021 and then a more recent top up at 21p in March last year, which is one of the few times I may have actually picked the very bottom. I'm still about 10% underwater here so hoping that I can pop my head above the surface tomorrow!

Key to tomorrow is consensus post IFRS debt (inc leases and swaps) to drop from £880m to £545m and pre-IFRS to drop from £289m to maybe just £50m+? After that it will be about how analysts interpret contract news (inc inflation-proofed revenues for most) and expenses, with free cashflow expected to rise from £6m to £35m in the continuing businesses in 2023, plus some more minor divestments which should eliminate all traditional debt and a possible return to paying a dividend if free cash is more than enough to support planned contract bids.

Yes I agree… once 30p is broken , it should see 40p reasonably quickly … rapidly if there is a divi re instatement

It's a recovery stock and numbers seem to be steadily going the right way. You usually need to build a bit of a base to take out a round number and it is doing just that. There is not even much selling volume to overcome at these levels so modest buying should be enough to do it. If there are no set backs in the results it should take out 30p.

Agree Aleman. These results are to set a tone for the future and growth from this level. If forecasts are the higher end of expectations we could see a significant re-rating. Also, I think there will be the more conservative investors waiting for results here before buying in. Very few would buy in so close to results. Hopefully we could see a scramble for shares as new buyers come in. I think we know that very few existing holders will sell at these levels. They've had plenty of time to do so and the share price has been consolidating for a long time. Few shorts open on this too so primed for the longs to push this higher. GLA.

Most of the conventional debt has already been eliminated (leaving derivatives and leases). The businesses sold have taken some free cashflow with them, leaving little in ongoing business for now. This will improve as some poor legacy contracts expire. The cashflow prospects from ongoing and new contracts should become much clearer with these results. The consensus is £35m free cashflow in 2023 from £6m in 2022 in the remaining core business. The real question is what forecasts for 2024 will be. Capita are growing again and margins improving so there is every chance new forecasts will make the shares look good value. Debt is no longer the issue after last year's disposals.
