all good in the long run. Did investors really think the company would get through 2020 without any impact from Covid? Years 2022 to 2030 of the business not negatively impacted at all which represents 80% of the valuation

Outsourcing firm Capita was the latest to offer some detail on its approach. The company revealed on an earnings call this week that it has already saved £4 million by shutting 168 of its 294 properties around the UK. The savings are enticing and can be sharply ramped up, CEO Jonathan Lewis admitted.

He told investors: “We have already decided to [permanently] close 25 of our properties around the country [particularly] reducing our central London footprint.

The decision will save Capita £20 million by 2022, he said.

Transport for London has extended Capita’s contracts for managing the congestion charge, low emission zone (LEZ), and ultra low emission zone (ULEZ). The contract, worth £355m, extends Capita’s work on the schemes from October 2021 to October 2026. It includes extra work associated with the expansion of the ULEZ up to the north and south circular roads from October 2021, and running the registration and monitoring service for the capital’s Direct Vision Standards (DVS) for heavy goods vehicles. Capita anticipates recruiting and training an additional 900 staff to deliver the expanded service. The majority will be encouraged to work from home.

ESS is being sold significant and positive for the share price.H1 2020 Transcript:Jon Lewis:Sylvia, thanks very much for your questions. I'll let Patrick talk to you -- margins and contingent liabilities in a minute. But I want to be crystal clear in the going concern. The disposal of ESS addresses the Covenant head room issue; the material uncertainty issue.https://www.capita.com/sites/g/files/nginej146/files/2020-08/capita-half-year-2020-transcript.pdfCEO confident about the sale. Price will move sharply upwards from here on news.

The company didn't announce lay offs. It merely confirmed what every business is facing in 2020, namely the need for getting through the covid crisis in tact so that the company is positioned for the inevitable recovery. No need for the shares to be at an all time low

....or a better idea....let's get it in 2021/2022 when the recovery completes. Nice little investment at 150p-220p.

Shrewd...
