26/10/2020 08:28 | Superdielectrics' vague projections of energy density in 3-5 years' time not as high as the Li-ion battery in the current Tesla Model 3. Don't think CPX needs to worry too much about this yet. I realise that's an apples and pears comparison. | tradertrev
26/10/2020 07:38 | Seen that posted all over the net this weekend, seems like a pump up to resent highs, big pull back on the cards there, one to watch though. Imo R2 | roofer2
25/10/2020 19:16 | Deal with Rolls Royce in March 2018 Rolls-Royce has signed a collaboration agreement with technology start-up Superdielectrics to explore the potential of using polymers with recently discovered remarkable properties to create next generation high energy storage technology | euclid5
25/10/2020 19:06 | Total waist of time posting anything here as so negativity surrounding CPX, let’s all just attack every share negative from now on !!!! Imo R2 | roofer2
25/10/2020 18:52 | What makes this co"s supercapacitors different to Cpx's? According to their website they only developed superC's in 2018. Looking to float Sunday Times mention Michael Spencer of Icap invests £8m into them. Says they have a deal with Rolls Royce Puts a value of £250m on them So either Cpx is managed incorrectly & fails to tie up good comm value deals. Or they are targetting their SuperC's in low volume markets. _ _ ____________________ Surrey & Bristol Universities validate technology, and announce discovery of Superdielectric Materials December 2016 Superdielectrics&rsq This is now feasible due to the Company’s discovery of superdielectric materials working with scientific teams from the Universities of Bristol and Surrey. Bristol University has confirmed that our superdielectric materials have capacitance values 1,000-10,000 times higher than existing aqueous electrolytes in supercapacitors. A supercapacitor using these materials could hold many times the amount of energy of lithium ion batteries. | euclid5
25/10/2020 16:48 | Quite right Charker, trucks are still stuck in the Outback waiting for a tow. You could just see them in the last episode of Mystery Road in the yard. | bbluesky
25/10/2020 14:30 | They have been talking "automotive" for years. Whatever happened to those truck battery replacements that were being tested for a year or two? Seem to have died a death completely. | charker
25/10/2020 13:47 | Nah...they have been adding that Note to Editors paragraph at the bottom of their releases for months. Doesn't look like anything new. | tradertrev
25/10/2020 10:34 | Re Fridays RNS I believe it was more than just a results notice in a little over a weeks time, the part of the RNS I feel they are trying to tell us something quite exciting on the automotive front. Notes to Editors: CAP-XX (LSE: CPX) is a world leader in the design and manufacture of thin, flat supercapacitors and energy management systems used in portable and small-scale electronic devices, and to an increasing extent, in larger applications such as automotive and renewable energy. The unique feature of CAP-XX supercapacitors is their very high power density and high energy storage capacity in a space-efficient prismatic package. These attributes are essential in power-hungry consumer and industrial electronics, and deliver similar benefits in automotive and other transportation applications. For more information about CAP-XX, visit www.cap-xx.com The ever secretive world of CPX, we will find out on the 3rd November, we could have our fireworks early gla Imo R2 | roofer2
15/10/2020 16:28 | It’s probably 240m or zilch. Some indication Of action in court, could make it short term. Risky. But what isn’t in this market? | rayrac
15/10/2020 15:06 | 10 bagger is a bit optimistic unless we are talking long term. £240m valuation is some way off. | charker
15/10/2020 14:44 | Something on the go that’s for sure, guess we will find out with results. Imo R2 | roofer2
15/10/2020 10:05 | Good morning all Up 8% so far in tumbling markets. | maytrees
14/10/2020 13:34 | outwith the regular stream of smaller PI buying, there is also constant background late-reported buying in 400-500k blocks & has been some last week or so .. someone is buying themselves in to a very sizeable position here & you might argue that they are doing so quite 'early doors'. Would not now be surprised to hear some good news shortly as someone somewhere usually knows before the news hits the wire | mattjos
14/10/2020 13:29 | Great post and well thought through. It was becoming apparent that the licencing out/ Royalty model was not going to move the dial. Seems like there are very few companies who can get this to work properly most notably ARM. Still don't suppose cpx reckoned on the amount of patent infringement that happened. I'm very hopeful of another win on the Maxwell front. Whilst cpx had something that was new and technically excellent the world was not QUITE ready. Think that is now starting to change which suggests the share price has plenty of upside. | meijiman
14/10/2020 12:46 | 10 bagger this one. | hodhasharon
14/10/2020 12:23 | Yes, I've tracked the company to varying degrees for the last 12 years, as I am fully aware of the role that Supercapacitors are going to play in the electrification of transport & so many other applications. I was very disappointed when they subbed-out production to Murata for just a licence fee as I wanted to invest in a SuperCapacitor OEM and the associated profit margins. CAP-X always looked to have the technology and the ability to develop more products but, that needs to go hand-in-hand with an ability to manufacture for yourselves if you are to make proper money in this & to have a direct relationship with your customer base. Was absolutely delighted to see they had managed to secure the production back from Murata .. in effect, Murata did the proof of concept on the manufacturing front & proof of demand for them. both those boxes now well ticked To now have this ability in-house is a total game-changer for the company, in my opinion + the location is about as safe as you can get from Covid as Australia is H&S capital of the world. Just was not aware that the company seems to have attracted so much more investor interest now. Was hoping it would stay off-radar for a lot longer but, clearly others can also now see the significant opportunity here for this tiny company. Dread to think what will happen to share price as/when Maxwell are defeated on their IP infringement. | mattjos
14/10/2020 12:07 | Results are due in October...have a read of the trading update from Sept 10th...says trading strong. If this new Murata kit works then the company could make a profit (swoon). | meijiman
14/10/2020 11:43 | 18 month high this morning .. what gives? | mattjos
