I think Nigeria is dead for COPL. Thats why there was so much desperation for the new assets. COPL is very difficult to value right now. Provided it does come back, and the gas treatment works, could easily add a penny to the share price

Sport,

Cheers for posting that, hopefully the Nigerians will finally get that PIB sorted and get these negotiations concluded for many of the outstanding licences there.

Ed.

Sport,

Yeah Covid is on the way out thanks to the UK gov leading the way on the vaccination front so lots of countries going to be open for business again this year.

Very true, market is focused on the massive upside of the Atomic assets, so we could hear about asset consolidation, Q1 report, maybe another acquisition and the elephant in the room the Nigerian licence all before May/June. I'm still planning long term here so no real rush.

Would be good to hear about the West African EOR at some point, Art has been keeping us well up to date on pretty much everything else recently. Step by step on this RTO process. We've already got updates on the forward plan of 20 wells for the upper and lower shannon developments, I wonder once integrated are they still planning on doing the Frontier formation wells this year or next. Large companies have had a lot of success right next to our new assets. But I guess Art will want to consolidate those assets first before major drilling plans.

Looking forward to plenty more updates between now and late May.

Regards,
Ed.

Edegin,

Exactly - a good period now before re-listing since the gas injection will have started, so a stable flow should be witnessed and also mild increase in rate from 1400bbls/d

Also the real potential for Nigeria to have happened with improved COVID conditions and travel.

Waiting an extra month is well needed for COPL to come back at multiples rather than at just over 0.8p.

That's excellent news for spread bets that the cancellation has been delayed. Although I not sure if it effects them in any way, since the providers have done their research.

Good news, cancellation and re-listing on the main market to occur on the same day, coming back as COPL the transformed company. I wonder what production levels they'll be up to by the end of May!

Ed.

Just thinking about some very basic figures here but assuming 10,000 bopd over say a 350 day period allowing for any shutdowns/maintenance at $65 a barrel is $227.5 million per annum or approximately £166 million. I know we have a percentage as a working interest (57% and 67% from memory in one of the RNS documents) but I wondered what other mid level producers out there currently at that rate have a similar market cap? I believe AM wants to increase production further but just intrigued to know.

UKOG has risen 200 percent from the lows. That should bode well for COPL.

Perhaps now would be a good time to bring the COPL website into the 21st Century.

You don't convert 62m warrants in share that is suspended unless you are supremely confident that this is returning a lot higher on relist. Why take the unquantifiable risk eg PoO meltdown, Covid etc

Tidy,

That's more cash on hand as a result, I guess they're more of the 0.26p warrants converted. We should get more RNS releases soon as the gas injection rates were to increase from 1st April with the plan to inject 126,000Mcf in April up from a rate of just 15,600Mcf in Feb.

Also interesting to see the modelled flow rates from the increased injection is now 7,000bopd gross from the Barron Flats unit alone, whereas previously that was the target which also included Cole creek. So both together we could be looking at 10,000bopd. I hope that little cash strapped NOP can pay its way or else COPL will end up owning a lot more of this play.

These two poimts haven't been discussed much yet either:

"Recently large US oil and gas independents have announced substantial drilling plans and acquisitions north of the lease block targeting light oil in multiple stacked horizons.

These light oil-bearing horizons appear to be unexploited and it highlights the further development potential at the Barron Flats Deep Unit (below the Shannon BFU) and Cole Creek Unit. COPL's geological and geophysical team will commence an evaluation of these horizons."

Those large independents also have large production bases already established in Wyoming ranging from anything from about 20k-80k bopd. Its good that parts of the old Oilexco technical team are still in place to evaluate these multiple stacked reservoirs.

Of course they could also add some more Nigerian assets to this mix at any time.

Regards,
Ed.
