Agree with your summary Eastbourne. But in a bear market like this where I'm reluctant to buy Banks & commodities and wish to avoid discretionary retailers with the EU question, ( or US with the Trump question, defence industries with the Corbyn question); I'm running out of bolt-holes.
Cambian is no great profit generator but possibly a secure home if they can improve their fill %. That's the info I'd like to see, how are they going to get that percentage into the 90's. Isn't that how they assess hotel groups?

Seems to be a lot of ramping on here and very little meat on the bone regarding the fundamentals of the business, at the end of the day the business is a dog, the company is being propped up by it's freehold property, nothing else.

Look at the way the chart keeps banging its head against 60. Orders now stacked on the offer protecting 60.

Closed out for a small profit sob sob.

Go long on a convincing break of the key 60 mark or stay out - that's the way to play the high riskers.

There are far too many buy orders hitting the book here. Intraday chart trending higher with some larger buyers also popping up.

Looking for a break of 60 for a continued move higher.

Isn't hejust a temporary CFO?
That situation is one of the main reasons for my delaying to buy here. I think this company has a few positives but financial management doesn't seem to be one of them.

Hi Benny,

Don't be misled by ebitda, look at the previous accounts, i.e. how ebita converts into a pre tax profit or loss.

Also look at it in simple terms, i.e.

freehold property is worth circa 500 - 600 million

debt is around 240 million

if profits were 46 million don't you think the market cap would be a lot higher than just over 100 million.

Cambian isn't making money.

Accepted they've mismanaged expectations disastrously, but they're in about £46m profit aren't they?

yuck - broke my golden rule never to invest if a company is not in profit - stupid - now a long term recovery nightmare - and daydream of a take over. Wonder what Kabouter will do. At least there is all the property as back up

Today illustrates why I had such concerns about this group, the only saving grace (a big saving grace at that) is the freehold property, that is the only positive with this company at the moment.
