someone sold 10,000 at full price... maybe I can sell. Must be a buyer for these or else the price would have tanked...

I haven't forgotten and you are right ... still think at some time with a bit of press we might get £2 before then if we are lucky...

Don't forget there is a wait of 4 years for the cash, assuming planning can be obtained. That's plenty of time for people to get bored whilst another few million quid disappears via Bermuda.

I agree. The family won't sell as they know whats what and long time holders think their ship has come home finally, and anyway the company is probably worth several times its current share price

I just bought 500 and it took about 20 minutes... No one is going to be able to buy these so I am not sure that the price will go up unless there is a take private ot there is an announcement that is planning has been received in Malta ... Still even though I can't sell it seems more fun sitting at £1.15 rather than 55p!!!

There is just no proper market. No buyers with jam tomorrow, sellers trying to get out while the going is good. But break up value much more than £1.50 imho
whilst the family holds most of the company I can't see anyone would want a punt, not with a 25% spread................

A sell !!! It is so tightly held it is crazy... should be taken off the market. I would take £1.50 even with the news out now

Well there is something to be said for forgetting all about a poorly performing share with locked up assets. One day a ship might come home. This share still has a long way to go to realise its other value. But good for a start. This in my ho is no time to sell. Hurrah

Don't forget that the properties are in the books at such low prices - ie cost that I would think we will be looking at a gains tax charge of around 30% of the sale proceeds - this has to be taken into account..still i am a lot happier with this today than I was yesterday

Call me the eternal optimist if you wish but I am thinking in terms of an eventual special dividend of say two pounds fifty pence per share and an ongoing valuation of the rump at fifty pence per share. Sure, it could all go wrong if planning permission fails, but things are moving now in Malta generally, and moreover the Company has been engaged in exploratory discussions with the authorities over there for two or more years now, so the deal should go to completion. Obviously the value of a three pounds package in 2013 has to be discounted back to today and also some allowance made for the risk of the deal collapsing, but even so today´s closing price looks a bit on the low side to me. Anyway, we should all be toasting Mr.Bailey tonight, whatever happens between now and 2013!

Agree about doubts given the companies track record, however cannot see many long suffering holders of these shares throwing the towel in now. I note only WINS making a market in the shares and can understand the spread and small market size as they could get caught out in either direction.
Keeping the shares in the bottom draw, just a bit of light at the end of a very long tunnel now.

Can anyone enlighten me on how the share price changes when you cannot trade the shares on an open market please. Or am I missing something ??

The Money Makers being their usual Shylockian selves this morning. With an online quote of 110/130p, do they think that any sane investor is going to be interested in taking up such a ridiculous offer?

I agree that it is long term... but it at least quantifies what the Malta assets are worth. I think that justifies the mark up today. Could still be worth a chunk more given Tanzania. Light at the end of the tunnel but no more?

on re reading the RNS the sale of the main site £26 million is not payable until 2013 (and only if planning permission and other conditions are realised), so at any time till then this could fall through and BLEY would have to return the deposit....IMHO given this companys track record that is one hell of a lot to take on trust at this mornings mark up...

I spoke to Charles Bailey about 2 months ago and suggested that he put us all out of our misery and took it private... I think if they were trying to rip off shareholders they would have done that 18 months ago and then done this deal ... Lets see what the share price does now?

About time BLEY shareholders had something to be happy about. They've been getting ripped off for yonks, now maybe they'll get something back. Dependent on planning permission though.
