It’s estimated that every year 1,000 health care workers develop contact dermatitis through their work. This figure will be even higher during the #COVID19 pandemic. Learn how to look after your hands.

There are hundreds of cleaning companies... not surprising some will use Byot products...

Question is do they have repeat orders??

Invirtu hand foam being used by Formula 1 driver Lando Norris. Shown on Sky Sports F1 and can be seen on Youtube - search Cribs with Lando Norris. Only a fleeting glimpse of Invirtu but good recognition that one of Byotrol's products is being used by a leading sports star

Football - based on the statement link in the article, the Byotrol-based products Prokil are using appear to be from Legend Brands e.g:

Legend Brands themselves are a US company, so I wonder if Byotrol have had any dealings with them with respect to the US trade market...perhaps a line of enquiry worth following if they've not done so far (or when supply capacity is "back to normal")

Of course Byotrol also sell into the commercial/industrial market under their own name too, such as this example (note similar and recent efficacy statement as above in respect of COVID-19):

I think the seekingalpha article linked below is a reasonable exposition of the bear case, without the repetition and red font of our resident troll.

This to some extent is what byotrol investor relations / flagstaff are fighting against, I think - the long and less than stellar track record. The bulls (and I'm clearly one) see in this sort of article evidence that at least some parts of "the market" still do not recognise the change that occurred when DT took over and the lengthy positioning phase that has played out since.

It also suggests I think that greater recognition may come (from market commentators and institutional investors alike) if the company can put in place sufficient longer-term deals to show that the current high demand environment is being used as a stepping stone to sustained scale and profitability, rather than as an opportunity for windfall (i.e. one-off) profits. The comments on order book in recent trading updates, with the implication that the order book only goes out 2 months or so don't really help here.

The licensing agreements are a good start though and interim results (or possibly something earlier) may start to quantify how material the guaranteed payments associated with them are. It would be good to see some longer term agreements associated with product sales (i.e. manufacturing, supply/sales) put in place and I think the recent series of interviews might have hinted at efforts in this direction.

One thing that did strike me from the Core Finance interview was the comment that most of the revenue comes from the UK and only about 5% comes from Asia. In fact the interims show less than 25% of revenue from outside the UK. So it seems to me that a real prize from the current environment could be a material agreement (licensing or supply/distribution) into Asia, or in fact any geography outside the UK and US. The example of the Hong Kong entrepreneur selling byotrol24 (and perhaps also the holdings declaration from the apparently Singapore-based investor) suggest that there might be some appetite for byotrol in Asia and the challenge will be to secure an appropriately rewarding and long-term agreement.

FWIW, that domain name was registered on 15/5, the day after the US licensing deal was announced.

If sick drives our investment strategy we are in trouble but if the poster is filtered we are home and dry because all we have to do is be patient and we will be rewarded for our brilliance in choosing BYOT and moreso by ignoring him/her.

Given the PM has just announced further easing of the lockdown, it would be good to hear if orders have remained strong going into Q2.

At the moment we only know that orders MAY be similar to March/April for this month, May. What about June and Q2, July-Sept?

They have already indicated that they expect the rate of strong orders to ease. It would be interesting to see by how much.

From interview - DT, CEO of Byot:

""Our revenues to March 2020 were 6 million pounds, and EBITDA of £250,000. We haven't given guidance to 2021 because its moving around quite a lot. In March we did a million quid in revenue, and in April we did a million quid in revenue. "
"May I'm pretty sure will be at the same level. So we are majorly ahead of where we were this time last year. The question is whether it will endure, which I think it will, and how long it will endure at these levels."

Deep cleaning - Should get rid of sick-the-tick - Once again disinfected by the press!!

"Companies such as Byotrol and Tristel, both listed on the junior AIM market, are among those likely to benefit from this emphasis on cleanliness. Both produce high-tech disinfectant and have seen demand soar in hospitals. As users begin to expect similar cleanliness in social spaces, the two companies will have a new customer pool."

DM article from a DECADE ago, following Swine flu, mentions Byotrol and santisers...

Note someone commented:
"Byotrol is a great product as it works far longer than alcohol based products. You can buy it in Boots."

What happened to all the deals since? why should it be any different this time?

Sound familiar!! Advice from a microbiologist, to the current advice!!

"The gold standard of hand washing is using hot running water and soap.

'You need to wash both the palms and the finger tips and around rings of the fingers, as bacteria can lodge there,' says Dr Anthony Hilton, a reader in microbiology from Aston University.

'Then you should dry with a paper towel or hand drier. However if this is not available, then alcohol-based hand gels can be a very good substitute.'"
