rrb, do you have any exact information about Link and Invesco selling i.e. how you know, how much you think they have already sold and how much more they are likely to sell etc? That would be very helpful information, thanks.

wow that bounce didnt last long, bought a few grands worth a few days ago at 6.70 hoping they rally up to 12/14 over next year but market just doesnt bleve this company, MW have called it right too many times plus has the hopeless Woodford/Barnett stigma attached.

I note that gettingrichslow is gettingpoorquick having currently dropped a further 4K plus on this mornings purchase.

rrb, you could be right. I have another investment where the share price is being subdued by a large Invesco holding. But I'm generally a long term investor and only sell when a company's fortunes change for the worse, so no worry to me.

Link and Invesco selling. This will weigh on shares for a while. But for patient investors, great opportunity to buy more. Fair value closer to 1200p so plenty of upside here....

Why worry about random daily share price movements? The trolls love it when they see others being as miserable as they are. That's their aim.

Won't be any solid movement until next results. Would have liked a trading update but BUR never do them, do they?

Positive that they are going for full US listing and not raising any further equity and Bogart is to join the board as promised. Not sure how the secondary listing works with total number of shares in issue. Someone more knowledgeable than me please explain.

Basically, the news was that everything is going to plan but no concrete news until results. When the bear case is that the company can't be trusted that's not enough. But results and likely listing news in March will be decisive one way or the other imo

Can't see why this is dropping off again.

Seems quite a confident positive update to me.

Volatile is an understatement at the moment, but can see this back above £10 in the next few months.

Yes indeed you are probably right that people wanted a boost to confidence, but that in itself shows that it is emotions that are dominating. I mean Burford announced the planned US listing ages ago as well as most of the other things, so if you believed them then there is nothing to worry about, and if for some silly reason you didn't believe them then I suppose you shouldn't believe them now either. Anyway price is again coming down, I should have sold more on the spike, the problem is that whenever there is a spike I think that the market surely must now be coming to its senses and will push the price up more, but it never seems to happen.

The falls were indeed absurd given that the business hadn't essentially changed. A poor recovery since the MW attack more to do with forced sellers (Woodford) I suspect. If only they could of waited. No surprises or new information but surely the market was waiting for some confidence to be restored and the content of the RNS is positive confirmation of all of the things investors want to hear. The US listing is no longer hearsay, it's happening and soon. I expect this will be back to and potentially above previous highs within a reasonable time frame once this is concluded.

In my opinion the recent share price falls have been absurd given the value on offer. Today's price rise is also somewhat absurd as a reaction to the RNS - I see very little in terms of surprises or new information in the RNS. Though of course a share price rise is sensible anyway as the price was much too low to begin with and still is. If anything today's rise helps to show how illogical the market is with Burford shares, so it makes me less worried that the recent weakness is for good reason.

Also, obtaining a US listing will dispel the concerns surrounding corporate fraud or accounting irregularities.
