Hopefully we stay in and the tide is turning that way. Maybe common sense will prevail. We’ll all benefit financially, especially here, and get back what this shambles has already cost us! Shame that many BT employees have already lost their jobs though.
Sticking just to BT, can anyone see a brighter future outside the EU that will make up for the already lost income and staff?

Quicker we leave the better. Couldn't care less if it's a no deal divorce, as long as we leave.

It makes me laugh when they use the term 'EU 27', because most sensible people know they mean the 'EU 2', or better still 'M & M'. No surprise they rejected the UK proposals....

EU not happy with Chequers plan. As I said before here, it's going to be a bumpy ride just agreeing a deal let alone getting it voted through parlaiment. No chance. Time will tell.

Monty said BT is the best short in the FTSE....???
I am more than happy to sit on these - and yes Monty - these are the only shares I hold - and that's because I like BT and I like the price. (and am mostly in cash - in case you thought I was all in).

Understand your frustration but BT did state in June that it would be likely a replacement would not be named until the second half of the year.

Whilst I’m pleased to see a bit of slow share price progress over the past 2 weeks or so, I’m getting increasingly frustrated with the board’s lack of urgency in dealing with the problem of finding a new CEO.

It was bad enough that when Patterson announced he was standing down (well, sacked actually) he still remained as CEO! How many other BT staff get dismissed, but still allowed to stay in post, especially at such an exalted high level? This obviously wasn’t news to the BT Board, so surely they would have had a few feelers out there, and tasked head hunters in actively trying to line up a replacement.

It’s been three and a half months so far and at this rate, it’s going to be 2019 before we get a replacement in or maybe it’s just the ‘old boy’s network’ of keeping Patterson in a nice cushy job with no responsibility, and on a vastly exalted salary?

The longer this drags out, the more absurd it becomes, what the hell is the company playing at?

Amazing, as soon as the price stabilizes/improves the brokers upgrade. Behind the curve or just loading up before they upgrade? Not possible.

Always wary of a good start to the week.
Anyway, why is it the yanks have more faith in BT than we do in the UK?
Always seems to peak when nyse ADR opens. Which is currently over 230 while we are on 228?

I have some weird affliction where I don't like to post on boards where I am not invested.
It's something I need to work through!
