Yeah they wouldn't dare. US has many times more PI's would destroy them. Won't happen here though.

BT has one of the lowest Telecom P/Es in the World and some very valuable assets.

Things are not right in the State of Denmark or the UK.

Hedge Funds use brute force. I don't think they really care what the truth is. It is a win game to make money pure and simple.
P/E of 5 earnings on target.

They are placing almost zero value on this Company even though Openreach has had estimates of upto £40billion on it's own!
This is just crazy manipulation!

And you know, the holders must be concerned about it too, or not be loaning stock out at these levels

Its beyond simple hedging/cover for a 100

As a lifelong investor and previous City worker I now tell people to stay out of the UK Stockmarket as it's so rigged by Hedgies and Algos that it's not worth the hassle.
Until we get the Institutions back it's just a Casino for the Ultra wealthy and Spreadbetters.

As heavy as the shorting is for a 100 company ,Probably safe to run with yield threat, maybe due to essentials debt metrics

But if shorts go over 2% before May, serious alarm bells..it's something more, if not already

isis, have you looked at the low multiples other global telecom companies are selling at?.

You appear to look at BT as if it exists it's own bubble.

There are sector companies with far more secure dividends available at under 10 X. Some with lower debt metrics.

Kintbury just happens to be in that part of London where all the other Hedge Funds hang out.

Coincidence eh?

And even if had big holders , as I said, it's the same funds financing the hedges

It won't be bothering them really

How so. I don't get that. With no big holders it is easy to short down any stock. If we had more Institutional holders then they may see this is a great buying opportunity and kick their Rses but it's not there as we don't have big holders, no Pension Funds and a useless Government to oversee it all.

There's no way a lump like that would go through the market and he would be taking a big loss on an undervalued asset. Goldmans target price was 290p a month ago, just shows how much control the shorters have.
We need the Pension Funds back, I don't think anything else will do.
