As many observers have said we appear to be in a Doom Loop never being able to breakout before the shorting starts again. The only way to get any value is a takeover but that is difficult for reasons we all know.
Government have not helped at all, massive fines all the time and retro suits for allsorts of reasons that weren't questioned at the time. Our Companies are being used as cash machines.
We'll just have to see how it pans out but it has been aggressive shorting that has brought this down imo

But if you don't generally time a market /markets, you get screwed over

I don't think there are that many on the Buy side on the LSE - just look how pathetic it's been these last 20 years.
As soon as an share price rises they slap it down again and everyone looks for reasons that aren't there.
It's all a bit of a Grey area how these Funds and algos work. Nearly all the trades on the LSE are Algos.

I once heard a story of a director asked to make a purchase

I can't verify this so take it as malicious , unwarranted gossip

The purchase request was because a fund wanted to get out pretty fast, and liquidity just wasn't there to quietly dump the volume they needed to, without slapping SP

They needed buy pressure for a sell pressure that wouldn't hit their exit average

Isis, they are all the same

Buy side funds shaft you much more though. Because more of them

I really do not trust Hedge Fund Shorters. They are some of the most greedy and nasty people on the Planet, many have very powerful contacts too.
The Telegraph had a very biased piece a few days ago and made no mention of the £15billion BT are investing or anything positive to say at all. Only that they were making huge profits which they are not. No mention of their huge debt to fund all this either.

Obviously you can't just trade that alone. Need to go deep and complex but it's a basic gist of spotting an underlying issue yet unknown

BT shorting is heavy. And it's not like the industry is generally a hedge fund target at the moment ..globally

Often suggests shorters are targeting something specific, they believe shall occur for an entity
