Stan

I have no posi. The charts indicate the next support level is 480p, so your short looks good.

...........The Lehman Brothers kiss of death to the share price this morning - it seems.

But I still see good value in BGY and will top up when the share price correction / bottom is reached.

..........the share price is approaching the chart resistance level from last attempt to rise towards the SP's former glory; - certainly back in the 650p+ range.

It may take a short while for investors to regain confidence that the two repaired reactors, are in good / safe condition and able to operate beyond the 70% max limit currently set by the safety case.

If the price of oil remains in the $60+ range then I suspect BGY share price will eventually rise to settle around the @650p level.

Just my views DYOR.

"Gazprom is considering teaming up with UK energy producers to build gas-fired power stations in this country..

...One said: 'It makes sense for Gazprom to do this. They have a trading operation in the UK, and you would expect them to pursue opportunities to increase their presence here. The most likely candidates for a deal are UK generators that are not fully integrated with supply businesses, such as International Power, British Energy and Drax."

- Nuclear power supplier British Energy was higher again today after ABN Amro started coverage with 'buy' advice and 654p price target following yesterday's trading update.

The broker reckons the shares are undervalued and believes that the company will create significant value from new nuclear projects.

Total output for the financial year ended 31 March was 58.4 terawatt hours (TWh), marginally ahead of current market expectations, said the company Tuesday.

Fixed price contracts for all output for the 12 month period was at an average contract price of around £45/MWh including the impact of approximately 5TWh of capped contracts

Morning all, bought a few BGY this morning.

For what it`s worth, BGY was featured in Shares magazine yesterday amongst a list of shares under the heading:

"Double Your Money" (Cheap stocks and limited risk, shares you must buy)

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Shares in British Energy were initiated with a
'buy' and 654 pence price target at ABN Amro this morning with the broker
arguing that the current share price undervalues the company's current assets,
dealers said.
ABN Amro also added that it thinks that there is a strong likelihood the
company can create significant value from new nuclear projects.
