Big day, finally breaking through £1, and decisively so. Testament to how well managed this company has been through the last two years, despite all the pandemic challenges.

Very low PE here if you extrapolate for full year with the best trading months to go.

Very good results, flagged but nice nonetheless!

RNS confirms very strong earnings last year, and that they’ve traded ahead of expectations in Q1 this year. This is the cheapest growth stock in the whole U.K. market.

Looking forward to tomorrow's update. The pier has been very busy this weekend.

It isn’t, just a case of how much folk are prepared to stomach with rising cost of living, leisure is always vulnerable especially driving to venues.

It’s clear they want to engage more with shareholders, looking forward to next monday. I think we are at the start of a nice run if they keep executing and expanding. Given the expected cashflow Pier isn’t expensive.

Ok my mistake. I thought the CFO said in the investor presentation something about numbers on the 28th, but probably I misunderstood.

We had an update a month ago, not likely to another until results.

I think we have an update on Monday, which is likely to be bullish. Last chance to take advantage of this global risk aversion (which has zero read across to PIER).

bookbroker....If they were to charge for entry then I think I would prefer to see an adults only charge and allow children under 16 to gain admission for free. Lets face it most children will have two adults paying alongside them and I would be hacked off paying a price for my kids to go on a pier as most of the entertainment and goodies are aimed at them and cover the costs.

I guess it depends on whether the attractions and stalls are fully owned or rented from PIER and so prices charged are not easily at PIERs discretion.

I noticed they do not charge visitors to Brighton Pier, if they even placed a £1 charge on entry it might generate millions of added revenue, and they could easily do this via a turnstile/door system similar to an underground. I know that that might have some impact on visitors who might spend money elsewhere on the Pier, but a pound is basically very little to enjoy the walk and the views down the Pier. It would go a long way to alleviating the rising cost of extra energy costs and maintaining the services and entertainment on the Pier.
