01/9/2021 08:15 | I see we had a trading update last year on 14th Sep. Wonder if we'll get the same this year. Will be interesting to hear what staycations and reopening have meant for operating performance and some early indications on the acquisition. | ijamlon
02/8/2021 13:39 | This stock has quietly been one of the best performers of the year +111% ytd | ijamlon
02/8/2021 12:41 | So can we start add tech company multiples on PIER now .. | dartboard1
02/8/2021 11:48 | Virtual Reality entertainment being tried out at the pier:- | jeff h
02/8/2021 08:14 | Good results for Escape Hunt today... should translate to good visitor numbers for the Paradise Golf business (which has the best margins in PIER)... | dartboard1

25/6/2021 18:18 | Maybe it's built in news about the financial debacle on Brighton Pier where, in error, visitors were charged thousands of pounds for fairground rides due to a processing error by an external party. Hasn't affected the share price ,though. | corrientes
03/6/2021 19:37 | I've lost count of the number of people who've said to me in the last two weeks that they're doing 2 UK holidays this year instead of a trip to Spain/Greece ... This company will be swimming in cash flow over the next four months .. | dartboard1

28/5/2021 20:25 | Just spent the afternoon and evening down by the pier. Never seen anything like it. The waterfront is the land that Covid forgot. More people getting joyously stuck in than I've ever seen there before. London is like a monastery by comparison. Don't know what that translates into for pier but it's seems like a good backdrop. And as my friend said: just wait till summer, with foreign holidays a question mark, you ain't seen nothing yet | ijamlon
17/5/2021 13:28 | I note that all eight Paradise Island Golf sites opened today.Hopefully we should rebuild sales esp at weekends.A number of people have advised we that footfall at INTU Trafford Centre is down so we may have to work hard.... | 1tx
05/5/2021 14:26 | Looking at EBITDA, 2019 Pier 3.0m, bar 1.4m, golf 1.6m. In summer 2020 these were trading LFL at 83%, 65%, 87%. Giving 2.5m, 0.9m, 1.4m if we assume same LFL going forward for a year... less corp overhead of 0.7m. Estimated EBITDA for next 12 months of 4.1m. This is pretty solid cash flow with a market cap at 22m. Also not taking into account the potential for a massive UK staycation summer... any contrary opinions welcomed ... | dartboard1
05/5/2021 14:17 | Sum of parts calc... Pier was bought for £18m (generated 3m ebitda in 2019 so should be worth that still or more). Golf, 6 sites bought for 10m, added 2 since, so that's 13.5m. Bars had VIU calc of 7.4m in last accounts (with impaired model inputs). Less net debt of 12.5m. Gives sum of parts calc of 26.6m. Current market cap 21.6m... discount of 18%. At very minimum, should be trading at 70p. | dartboard1
04/5/2021 14:01 | No need for equity issue.cash at year end was 4.2m with 1.75m available to draw down, add onto that further insurance payouts (received 1.55m in March 21 quarter). Most operational staff are/were on furlough, six months of corporate overheads is £383,000... so pretty lean. No mention of ability to raise equity in the going concern note, so the auditors must have been happy with the models for them not to include this... | dartboard1
30/4/2021 12:00 | Cenkos (newly appoint adviser / broker in Feb) just initiated a Buy recommendation on PIER. Can't help wondering if the equity issuance begging bowl is around the corner?? | ijamlon

13/4/2021 11:21 | I've always thought this was an unusual holding for Soros | ijamlon
12/4/2021 08:51 | Ijamion - Thanks - Had not spotted that - Looks as though he has made some bad calls as Helium holding in Deepverge appears to be derived from a previous holding in Modern Water which (subject to when he bought and I have not done deep DD) was a disaster company, but have not been able to find many details about the Helium holdings on the web. | pugugly
11/4/2021 22:25 | Hopefully yes, though likely took a bath on it before. | ijamlon
