25/9/2023 09:02 | The same situation pre-Covid, these rail strikes need to cease, but they reported in their results prior to 2020 how much the southern link is effected. Folk are unable to make realistic plans for a day trip when you have rolling strikes. | bookbroker
25/9/2023 08:57 | Really need the train strikes to end. Didnt realise it affected them as much. | thecroots
25/9/2023 07:58 | bb:- Predictive spelling messed U up. | pugugly
25/9/2023 07:29 | “Huge cash cow” huh Yet it’s swung to a £1m h1 loss. But done worry as Luke has a list of excuses even longer than he had at cake. Bloodbath today imo. | terminator101
25/9/2023 07:27 | Profit warning - Possible markdown on opening but as thecoots notes all down points already advised. " Whilst the board has been encouraged to see improved trading in the first 3 weeks of September, macroeconomic challenges continue to impact the business. This, together with the weaker than expected summer trading period, has led the Board to conclude that operating profit for the current financial year is likely to be below current expectations." | pugugly
25/7/2023 19:46 | Correct. They could tender for 10% of shares and directors and big shareholders - including Luke Johnson - could sell in proportion to this, such that they don’t reduce free float any further | jm6783
25/7/2023 18:20 | If i was PIER, and given that they have already had a vote approved at the last AGM for a SHAREBUYBACK, i would be buying a few shares back at these cheap prices. Even if its to stop someone buying it out on the cheap.... PIER is nearly debt free and is a huge cash cow. | thecroots
25/7/2023 10:38 | Luke Johnson should merge it with CAKE. | kemche
25/7/2023 09:11 | Not a good morning but topped up. Now hope for some good weather and they should have events for the World Cup. Trading well below book value now | dartboard1
25/7/2023 08:46 | Takeover target for sure at this price - but Luke Johnson wouldn’t let it go at this price | shares9876
25/7/2023 08:29 | Think its fallen enough!. All 4 divisons still profitable. Damn strikes, damn weather, damn fire!!! Surely at this price its takeover fodder.... | thecroots
25/7/2023 08:07 | Not surprised - No 2 on the fallers list - Much further to fall? | pugugly
25/7/2023 07:49 | Darn it. Market not liking figures ... | thecroots
24/7/2023 18:01 | Would make more sense to give a trading update toward the end of summer. | dartboard1
24/7/2023 15:00 | Last year we had a trading update on 26th July, I wonder if we'll get same again or whether the new reporting period has changed that? | ijamlon
16/6/2023 03:11 | To be fair though, they announced the same thing in their December 2021 AGM | thecroots
16/6/2023 03:00 | Hi Ijamlon, The share price has been sitting here at the late 50's for way too long. I have a large holding here and have these as a good tuck away share. As mentioned earlier, with the decent, prolonged weather, the pier must be making very decent money. I held SHOE for a couple of years, mainly buying from late 30's 40's and 50's but look what great affect it had on their share buyback programme!! | thecroots
13/6/2023 11:52 | No comment on current trading though | davidosh |
