Suggestion to BOE and C of Exch'r

The creation of a FTSE Commodities Index of the top 50 companies might prove beneficial to the preservation of OAP's Pension monies currently being lost by Fund managers that don't know their @rse from their elbow

They're struggling with it now. Don't know where to let it sit for the open.
Carry trade suggests they're likely to bounce it up.

Yes, I've been watching the DOW. They didn't like it at 15871, and it bounced over 80 points within a couple of minutes. Typical stop hunting. They really are bandits.
Might well have seen capitulation of some sort there, as a lot of UK equiities followed suit. Be interesting to see whether there's another sickening drop, or a sharp bounce on the open.

mbthedude - still holding my first tranche. Got 10,000 on a CFD from 386.51, so stinging a bit. I was going to add at 362, but held off because it was clear that the market was a trifle unsettled. I'll double up when the monkey tells me that Goldies have finished messing about with oil.
Bought some HSBA for Mrs. P this morning (paper). Got them at 507. Still got some Brownie points from a job I did for her last week, so she won't mind a bit of slippage.
Might wade in there (and here) again myself if this keeps on.
Looking to get long on the CAC (honest) when the planets line up. Euro/$ has paid the rent this month, but my last DOW trade meant that the new breakfast drink is Prosecco. Not a patch on Krug, but still goes well with a bacon sarnie.

Trade well and prosper......

Buywell, if you are so correct in your views and chart drawing, wtf are you doing here? Surely you're a billionaire by now - i would be if i always predicted correct share price movements.

I think Bloomberg needs to know before they follow your next prediction with a few hundred million.

Do you really believe there`ll be further devaluation . I somehow doubt it . More likely to be massive intervention and a reduction in rates to steady the market

Why not just buy in three tranches then . Here at 345 , again at 300 if you`re confident it will arrive there and even leave some room for 280 . Surely that`s the way to go for most shares . Why even attempt to pick a bottom .

stevenr and mitchy

You can't look at this share / sector in isolation at the moment. It's the whole market bubble that is the problem and it will all drop together whether you think this share has gone as low as it should or not.

I 100% believe you will see BP under £3 before September is out and I am so far comfortable with my decision that I got it wrong buying in the 420's and to stem losses at £3.80, whilst waiting to buy back lower. Weird strategy it may seem to some but it makes sense to me.
