Just listened to BBC News report regarding IEA report on oil prices.
Was grim listening for producers. Oversupply will cause lower oil price.
Presenter mentioned talk of $30! That's awful.
With Iran talks possibly leading to agreements on the nuclear issue , we could see Iranian oil adding pressure to a slide.
Looks like we can write off 2016 for any oil recovery.

Oil price is terrible and is crashing; now $57.29. Unhelpful to all.

Good AGM update and a post from LSE BB member who attended:

mercator: I was there but the presentation pdf that Wraith posted sums up meeting very well. I asked that if they find a suitable Farm-Out partner would they be able to join the current drilling campaign etc and the answer was yes ! They are in discussions at the moment. They also mentioned extending licenses as well. The other piece of good news is that the Darwin reserve upgrade has enhanced its commerciality !!! GL

Vic.....very good point...interest in the FI's clearly growing, but given the progress and money spent so far it is slower than I would have expected, however if I remember right the North sea had a stuttering start then look what happened.

The latest announcement:

"The Falkland Islands Government announced the appointment of John Shea as the new Head of Policy. Mr. Shea comes to the Islands from the United States"

Is a very shrewd move and to my mind ticks some very important boxes.

It is now just a matter of time before the market really catches on and like you and RTW, my speculative money stays largely with Borders, plus FOGL and FKL.

Small amount of trades (all sells) and the offer continues its journey north slowly but surely. Poss a large buy trade being filled? As with RTW, I'm happy to hold with positive sentiment starting to doing its rounds about oil exploration in the FI GLA

Cyan - as long as the NFB produces the goods the SFB will not be overlooked.
The latest published BOR seismic (after a year of interpretation with Polarcus) will not have gone unnoticed .
It's only 3 weeks old when all is said and done. The big boys will be in there looking I've no doubt.

Remember typical "finding costs" are 4$ to 5$ a barrel (as of last year) for the majors - so do the sums.

Good morning Ohisay. Good post. Certainly needs a very big partner to drill BOR's acreage.
The problem remains the relatively weak oil price; today Brent $61.82.

The BOR board were unable to present any offer to shareholders when the price was north of $100 so much now depends on Humpback.
I know of the claims that the BOD did turn down offers. Would be interesting if they let shareholders know any details. I bet they have regrets.

The big boys will want the lower hanging fruit first so, all eyes are on NFB as the more attractive option.

Eventually SFB will produce imo but will time run out for BOR?
