Gisjob2 thanks for the well thought out reply, this is the reason I post to get some discussion going!Admittedly I know sod all about graphite as I've been studying and trying to master copper gold & copper moly porphyry systems plus VHMS)But I follow a guy on X app who is well versed in all the weird and wonderful metals, calls himself sustainabledude. He wrote a good piece on Talga group in Sweden, mine to anode project. They purify the flake graphite concentrate to produce 99.9% anode active material. Says China use hazardous materials to purify thier graphite, allegedly! (Hydrofluric acid)...I believe Talga are using a novel processing route but he has doubts that the economics stack up!All imho dyor!

Bukowski,
I'll bite just the once.
Orom Cross is a huge resource and BRES is only currently looking at 2% of the overall area. Graphite is a very different metal to most minerals and it isn't just a case of mining the stuff.
Graphite has to be refined for various uses and vigorously tested to prove it will meet the criteria needed for battery use. Luckily Orom Cross has past all testing to date with flying colors but this has needed to be proven on a bulk scale too, which is currently underway. Sovereign have not completed such vigorous and successful testing.
Therefore the graphite will not be able to be used for the same end use as that of Orom Cross or at least be harder to market.
Bres already has MOU's but these can't be converted to contracts until the bulk sample testing and DFS is complete. BRES is also, as part of the DFS looking at producing in-country SPG which would be the first outside of China. No partner would commit until the project bulk testing is finished and the DFS complete and a decision whether to produce SPG in country which would massively increase the project value. I would also suggest BRES wouldn't want a partner until they know the true value of the project because at present the graphite has exceeded all expectation, why give it away on the cheap. Especially when the DFC have the option to fund the project if all the criteria is met. At present the Orom Cross Graphite has met and exceeded all test parameters, so it's all good.

I write this assuming you already know the answer really and understand how graphite minerals behave with respect to electrical charge. If you genuinely don't then I suggest you don't invest in minerals you don't understand.

If you prefer Sovereign, then invest there. I believe BRES is a much better option. PS this is my only response to your baiting.

When someone upfront states they're not doing something you can usually take it as granted they are doing exactly what they claim not to be doing.Get back under your rock and do some reading troll.Having been invested and following BRES for a few years I trust MR and don't believe DFC are in the habit of throwing millions of dollars around without their own due diligence.

Not trolling here so Foxtrot Oscar in advance, but is anyone worried that Sovereign Metals has a uber super gigantic deposit in Malawi with the backing of Rio Tinto? Why aren't any of the big boys interested in this? Sovereign have rutile plus I believe 23.4 million tonnes of contained graphite. How much contained graphite is at Orom Cross? All imho dyor!

Regarding the future investor acquiring shares at 5p, I can't see this holding the price back much as it will be such a small amount in the scheme of things. MR has played a blinder here keeping share issues to a minimum without loads of warrants being issued. Truth is the price probably won't rise much until the DFS is completed and MOU's can be converted to Contracts.

In the meantime just a little patience is required.

Foxtrot Oscar m8. I don't post under multiple accounts. I had an old one which I don't post under anymore, so take your insecurity and paranoia someplace else kiddo.

Thanks Divvy. I was kind of looking for a real 400 odd page technical report, not one I could read in five minutes. Is there a resource estimate going over project history and the drilling to date? (interested in how many meters drilled on the project)Thanks my new buddies, I haven't looked into this for ages, and never in any depth!Toodle Pip !

Rns and video today, as a few have mentioned the 5p fundraiser mentioned in February has kept us here, 6 x months. Funding has come from elsewhere and the previous fundraiser is still on the cards so how can the share price move up with another 2 million fundraiser earmarked at 5p again. Mike gave some positives about downstream processing in Uganda with a joint venture and potential further offtaker agreements. However the dfs completion appears to have slipped to end of Q2 2025. So realistically speaking it's 12 months of treading water at 5p. I will be interested to hear what Mike and Sponge will chat about on Wednesday, if they will address the question about raising at 5p again how this could weigh on the share price until the money gets raised.

Probably because the parties involved will use USD whereas they are listed on FTSE and report in GBP. They do need to be careful though when reporting

Probably because they keep using the two currencies in RNS instead of sticking to one, they have probably confused themselves as well as trying to confuse us.

Weird that the amount raised is equivalent to $2.5m when we were expecting £2.5m.

If this placing is enough to allow the DFS to be completed, with help from the DFC, then excellent news.

Agree. Interesting that it is a different funding solution. Doesn't put to net the strategic investor although, I think that this is a positive because it takes away the urgency for raising funds for the DFS particularly at a lower level (was never going to happen). It also allows for the original strategic partner to invest if they care to, without putting lots of pressure on the one funding solution. Finally, it validates exactly what MR and CP have been saying about. I low ball retail placings. All in all, an excellent outcome

Well quell suprise 5p the very price it has been held at constantly and pegged as a slight increase to the on going share price lol.
Good news partners have taken part though.
Maybe now we can move on 🤷‍a94;️
