30/9/2008 22:06 | Ivan - There might be oil under that land ;) | trickyboyfish
30/9/2008 21:24 | Auntie has had a look for us, and it is subject to survey. But at that price, who really needs to see it personally? The land is probably worth that, if it fell down (And is brick built, so should be hurricane safe) .lol ..... and I had a bloody good look at Black Rock before I bought in, but what good did that do me? | ivanburgess
30/9/2008 21:10 | Will I need a passport? Ivan are you buying without viewing? Tut, Tut, | futhark
30/9/2008 19:41 | Tricky . Isn't there a song about that somewhere? "I drove my chevvy in the levy, but the levy weren't dry" ??? ... Should have been sung by Katrina and the Waves, maybe? | ivanburgess

30/9/2008 18:52 | Best way to do it, is type in the name of a city, then the abbreviation for the state in the search box. (ie Daytona Beach, Fl). Then you can adjust the scope to suit your preferences. | ivanburgess

30/9/2008 17:16 | Sorry eddsy. I forgot. I might as well stick a link here for anyone to get some idea of the property to be had. Do your own deals, and don't be afraid to go in low. Some will take it, some won't. www.realtor.com just navigate to whichever state/county, etc appeals to you. | ivanburgess

30/9/2008 13:52 | Got any links Ivan? | maxk
30/9/2008 13:50 | Mornin all. Have a look at property in the USA. Some hellova bargains available. all these foreclosures mean that the financial institutions are saddled with properties for which there are no buyers, (as peeps can't get mortgages to buy them). Hence their liquidity has been strangled, and they are desperate to get shot. Put in a silly offer, and stress its cash, and you'll be surprised how little they will take for some of them. If the individual property doesn't owe them too much, you'll get a lovely holiday home in Florida for 5 Black Rock shares. Rent it out, and you'll find the rental market has got better, as peeps can't buy, so they have to rent, along with all the dispossessed ex-home-owners. If you've spent your life being shafted by the institutions, time to get some back, and shaft them rotten in return. He He He. Its a unique opportunity in my opinion, and I've gone for it. 2 potential returns ... rental income until the market improves, then double your investment when peeps start buying again. Just picked up a lovely 3 bed, 2 bathroom bungalow in Florida, for $50k (£25k) which would usually cost $180,000 in the US, or an equivalent home here in the UK of about £300,000. Rental income will go for $1250 per month at the moment. Have a look. Could be a better outlook than shares whilst turmoil exists. | ivanburgess
30/9/2008 10:47 | You ol moneybags Fut.... | maxk |
