21/4/2009 20:06 | Great to see Sheff Utd plastered by Burnley. Keeps Burnley in the play offs and makes the gap 4 points. Let's hope that either of the 2 birmingham games still to follow will be a win or for Sheff Utd to loose 1 more game and we might be looking at values well above 50p (take a look at tottenham which has been between 80 and £1.30) prospects possible if birmingham goes up and stays up! | poppadom2
21/4/2009 09:35 | Sheff Utd losing yesterday, could all be over on Sat, although Preston are going to be on such a high after last Sat. | royeggy
19/4/2009 17:52 | What a great win!!!! Two games to play and all in our hands. Promotion is so profitable and will put the Company back on the radar for buyers. | reels
16/4/2009 16:27 | Sheff U play Burnley on Monday so Burnley could do us a favour there as they chase the play-offs. | whatlp
13/4/2009 14:43 | Well I be the first to say it (seeing as I was the first to predict relegation), Birmingham to me do not seem to have the mental strength to see them through and I suspect we will be in the lottery of the play off's. P.S. I would love to be wrong! | ![]() a44
12/4/2009 09:02 | Why do we always play so bad against the sh1t teams????? | bluenose851
10/4/2009 11:20 | True, they can't act in concert but I think (and I may be wrong) that if Carson Yeoung sold out they could buy independently now and take out his entire stake. As it stood before they weren't able to do that. | andyash
10/4/2009 08:34 | they cant act in concert anyway, they would have to declare their beneficial interest | bluenose851
09/4/2009 16:12 | Ignore the last bit of the above post (now removed) - Ralph Gold's 750,000 share purchase was in the RNS on 19/02/08 but I had thought it was through the company he and David owned. | andyash
09/4/2009 15:01 | Just been trying to think why the Golds would choose to do this now after holding their shares together for all these years. One thought (and this is speculation only!!) is that Carson Yeoung may be looking to get out and may be looking to sell back to the existing board. With DG holding 1.4% of the shares in his own name and having a beneficial interest in the 23.2% stake he held with RG he would not have been able to buy many of the shares (I think the beneficial holding is treated as though it is fully owned by both parties) - essentially 5.3% without launching a full bid. Ralph could only have bought 6.7% leaving CY with 17% and no likely buyer (assuming no takeover and Sullivan not wanting to buy more). Now with the split of the shares, David Gold could buy an additional 16.9% of the company and Ralph could buy a further 17.4% - in other words between them, comfortably more than CY holds. | andyash
08/4/2009 09:46 | all is explained just an internal share reshuffle between the directors, explains why the share price never really moved. The ticker should have shown the quantity bought at the same time too! | poppadom2
08/4/2009 08:16 | Sorry for the grammatical error, I meant 'their' shares NOT 'there' shares | royeggy
08/4/2009 08:14 | Just the Golds moving there shares around: RNS Number : 3349Q Birmingham City PLC 08 April 2009 Birmingham City PLC Directors' shareholdings Birmingham City PLC (the "Company") announces that on 7 April 2009 David Gold and Ralph Gold, Directors of the Company, purchased ordinary shares of 10p in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") from Gold FC Limited at a price of 21.5 pence per share. 07/4/2009 20:00 | you will get an rns within a few days...probably tomorrow. | ![]() supercity
07/4/2009 19:39 | Surely that sort of trade must be notifiable - anyone know how long they have before they have to notify the exchange? Can only think it is Carson Yeoung getting out because if it was a board member (ie Golds or Sully) they would have issued an RNS) Good win last night! Despite having a season ticket I had to put up with watching it in a Leeds hotel - think the other guests may have thought I was a lunatic the way I was reacting!! | andyash
07/4/2009 18:33 | roughly 23% of total shares exchanged hands at 20% discount to the market price...add this to yeungs existing 29.9% holding and you could be looking at a takeover...on the cheap. I said last year when the fans demonstrated against the board that the owners would sell out at any price...don't expect much action in the price...it stinks of a cheap takeover to me. | ![]() supercity
07/4/2009 16:29 | poppadom2 - 7 Apr'09 - 16:35 - 863 of 863 I have 81,505,000 shares in issue so it was 22% traded and that seems to relate to Gold's or Sullivan's holding percentage? | ![]() a44
07/4/2009 15:35 | This was a sale of some 7% of the total shares of BMC yet the share price only came down by 2.3% utterly amazing equivalent to the days earlier gains, shows you how much BMC share price value is held in regard by market makers. | poppadom2
07/4/2009 14:34 | Guess somebody has cashed in their funds to set up a retirement home on bahamas good on them. Still expect this one to go to 50p marque after beating wolverhampton. Only 3 more wins out of 5 games and they are guaranteed through you do the maths!!! | poppadom2 |
