14/7/2008 09:50 | they get all the arabic channels there and sky and setanta, so you dont get to miss many matches....might be different this year though!!! | bluenose851
08/7/2008 07:23 | Sounds great; might have to leave more than 5 minutes before kick off though!!!! | tiltonboy
08/7/2008 06:21 | what about Tich,s bar in Moraira!! It is decked in blues colours and owned by a bluenose! | bluenose851
06/7/2008 21:02 | bleunose, I wouldn't buy them...yet. I would also like to see some hungry young players coming in, but with ability. The question is can McLeish spot them. I'm not certain we are good enough if Larsson and McFadden leave. A Baggies fan at work casts doubts on Philips fitness citing concerns with his knee. We will have to get an ADVFN bluenoses pre match drink sorted, though you might want to go somewhere better than the Vic where I drink!!! tiltonboy | tiltonboy
06/7/2008 14:21 | Well were here again . Just got my season tickets . So unlike many i will be going next season. I hope mcleash signs a load of players ive never heard of instead of prem has beens. Philips would be a good buy . 20 goals a season if he stays fit..Anyone think share price is cheap yet ? | bleunose
03/7/2008 12:58 | Tiltonboy - I'm in the morgue of the old main stand but have a good seat at the end of the front row in the upper tier so even though I moan about the price and players etc, I'm loath to give up that particular seat (although I've only had it for a mere 13 years!!). As for Larsson, I certainly couldn't blame him if he wanted to go but hopefully we will be able to persuade him to stay this season and hopefully get us back up. If we, don't make it then I don't think anyone would blame him if he went. Certainly if Larsson and Kapo went then I think McFadden would be left thinking that he might be spending the rest of his contract in the fizzy-pop league if he didn't go. You certainly picked a good game to take your son to and perk his interest in the Blues. My Dad was responsible for taking me to games in the early 70's and for about 6 years I never saw them loose (couldn't afford a season ticket but went to 6 or 7 games a season) either! Let's hope your son doesn't see us loose this season as I need the share price to pick up a bit as my SIPP is looking a bit sickly at the moment and these shares aren't helping it much!! | andyash
03/7/2008 09:42 | Tiltonboy - hope you are wrong about Larsson and McFadden going. I don't think Kapo would be any good in the Championship so can understand selling him but Larsson in particular is essential as we know he can mix it at this level and his set piece delivery will be vital. If he goes then my season ticket goes with him! As for De Ridder, it seems he wasn't the kind of player McLeish wanted but I'm a bit puzzled why we didn't get a fee for him - can only suppose there was a relegation clause in his contract but if that was the case I would rather the club / plc were a bit more transparent with fans / shareholders. | andyash
01/7/2008 14:43 | ......and 32 degrees today! But we have had a lot of rain, and summer only started two weeks ago | bluenose851
01/7/2008 14:19 | The property market is slow, but we are involved in Dubai, and now getting into Solar products. There are some interesting deals floating around on the distressed seller scene, and the banks (after tightening right up) are finally oiling the cogs on the mortgage market. NOt all of them though, and it is easy to see who is in trouble (CAM in particular - but this bank was always a push over when it came to getting easy mortgages for people that could not afford them) | bluenose851
01/7/2008 13:16 | McLeish fell out with De Ridder soon after he arrived. I was at Old Trafford when he came on in the second half, and helped Blues get back into the game. I spoke to McLeish after the game, and said how well De Ridder had done, but all he said was "for a change". McLeish' style is obviously ruffling a few feathers, and he doesn't seem to fancy players that won't put the work in. It looks like Larsson will go, soon to be followed by Kapo and McFadden, I would guess. How's tricks over there? tiltonboy | tiltonboy
01/7/2008 13:09 | bad to see de ridder go, even worse to see he is going to Wigan.! | bluenose851

12/6/2008 21:36 | Ouch... that hurt. Time to top up? | mokhan2
29/5/2008 01:37 | Small possibility that the grandtop takeover saga may continue...if it does will probably happen in the summer with grandtop hoping that they can pick up the shares on the cheap... personally i'd rather the shares remained public; birmingham came back up next season and established themselves as a premiership club... | mokhan2
13/5/2008 08:28 | I don't think that anyone is suggesting the club should be anything other than a viable business (least of all us shareholders!) but you also have to invest to have any chance of progress. When we have a plc Chairman making the sort of brainless comments that have been quoted in the press it is hardly surprising the fans turn on the board. Sullivan seems to think that he should be treated as a messiah for life for "saving" the club from bankruptcy while some fans seem to think that he is anti-Christ. As ever, the reality is somewhere between the two extremes. The current board have undoubtedly done some good things for the club but have missed out on an opportunity to move the club forward over the last 5 years. Sullivan should take a more self-critical look at himself and realise that although he isn't as bad as some fans might make out, he and the board have to take some personal responsibility for the current position of the club. | andyash
12/5/2008 18:23 | you have to laugh...the Brum fans want to sack the board, now the board are all ready to walk away. So now reality sinks in...no one will will want to buy the club (carson Yeung has proven this) and your board will now spend zero money going forward...could be another Leicester City here straight down to league one. When will the normal fan realise football clubs are 'supposed' to be viable businesses and would any fan throw all their money at it if there was no guarantee of a return. | supercity
