Spear,

The downside is that they cannot refinance and they are placed into receivership.

fine your view
but surely to a certain extent would'nt you say that the entire stock market is fuelled by rumour and speculation
i'd be interested to know what stocks you may have in your portfolio

Yes. You could say that all sells are buys. That is true in the strictest sense. However if a trade goes through at the bid then by convebtion it is regarded as a sell. I am sure that if a large trade went through at the offer then there would be people coming out of the woodwork saying 'it's a buy, it's a buy'.

Thanx I am in at 10p to average down from ridiculous prices which I bought at eariler.
I now have the view that it is an out and out gamble if they survive then it will have paid of not then....
Best of luck to all those that hold.

Agreed but the point is it was effectively a sell and not an MM to MM.

Well I imagine that will be the condition of the finance... no more DW.

Sure its a gamble, but that applies to being short as well.

In at 8 pence so double or nothing I guess.

An X is NOT MM to MM. That is an M. An X is a cross between two parties other than MMs. Usually one institution swapping to another at mid price. This was unusual in that it went at the bid price. That would indicate some enthusiasm to sell the shares.

If there is no large dumping then what was the 2mil+ sale earlier today.
Any views on that.

no problem
you will note that the trade in question is marked x
x = agency cross/mm to mm with no actual effect on normal business - hence the price did not fall off a cliff

Bright's Stations boss has failed to deliver on one too many occasions. Haystacks is right. Closing down sale is most likely, with everything (well actually, just one thing...) on offer at a knock down price. Maybe Mike Lynch could be persuaded to put in an offer :-)

They sold Office Shopper to another office supply company for a song. I would imagine that they were the only potential buyer. I had an Email this morning from the buyer 'Inkwell'. They were clearly after the potential customer list. I say potential list because although I was on the list, I had never bought anything from the site and never would as they were too expensive and too slow on deliveries. I replied to OfficeShopper-Inkwell as they are now called and pointed out tht the list obviously contained a lot of people registered on the site who have never been customers.

I am of the the opinion that no money will be forthcoming and the company will go into liquidation. Interested parties will then buy Smartlogic plus anything else that is of interest from the liquidators for the amount owing to creditors. This would mean that BSN shareholders would get nothing.
