tankertop
would you like to enlighten us with your reasoning behind your last statement.
are you suggesting that bsn will not get a refinancing package ?
my view is - i think you are very wrong and webtop/sl is not to be underestimated. secondly they will get refinancing from either a partner or by way of a convertible bond - hopefully without to much dilution. personally i dont see bsn going to the wall. quite the reverse i see this as a speculative strong buy at these levels.

Current market cap is £17m. WAY overpriced, IMHO. Not one to be long on.

Horizon partners already include Cisco,Baltimore, Sun, Oracle...

So BSN are in good company but as you say there is no value in these type of ALLIANCES.

I am not sure the other partners would agree and must see some value.

What hundreds of companies selling knowledge management software?I can't think of many.

Not bad deal for a company valued at £15 million.BSN are well positioned to capitalise in the expected growth in knowledge management if they can achieve further funding.

IMO worth a punt at these levels

This is not a 'deal' with Sun. They have just been accepted as a preferred supplier along with hundreds of other companies. Any company with a half decent piece of software will get the same arrangement.

This announcement is just another deal which does not mention money. All they have done is become a potential supplier. Thye have been accepted onto a list of preferred suppliers to Sun's customers. Any company with a reasonably decent software product can do the same. It means nothing. It is the same type of arrangement as the one with IBM a couple of weeks ago. It does not imply any actual sales and revenue.

LONDON (AFX) - Bright Station PLC said its knowledge management subsidiary
Smartlogik has entered into partnership with Horizon Open Systems, a Sun
Microsystems Inc preferred UK service provider partner.
Horizon Open Systems is a a division of the Horizon Group, it added.
It said Horizon Open Systems has signed Smartlogik to its Sun Application
Provider Resource Centre (APRC) programme.
Horizon will promote Smartlogik's search and categorisation solutions for
intranet and internet applications to the Sun IP infrastructure user base,
opening channels to market and increasing sales opportunities, it added.
"Membership of the APRC Programme will provide us with access to a major new
client base, and the Smartlogik software sales will create increased
hardware-based revenue for Horizon and Sun - benefiting all involved,"
Smartlogic chief executive officer Stephen Hill said.
