Beats me why they are so cheap as a bid would be in excess of 500p and it wont be long coming.

Hello to you watwungyi,

Alas and unfortunately, I have no advice to offer, (I can offer my sympathy though). I watch the world markets, with great interest. However, I have been as amazed as the next person, as to how the US markets have gone from strength to strength when most are expecting the drop. Perhaps things will change and the inevitable will happen. The problem is, if it is to happen, when will it be?

I am not, at all, conversant with shorting. I am reading books, by Simon Cawkwell, aka Evil Knievil, though. I don't think I am brave enough though and Simon would hate me for that.

Anyway, you have all weekend to think about it.

So, good luck to you and I hope you have a good weekend too. Have a great time in China, if I don't read your words before then.

Hello Johne,

How're you doing? I have been shorting dow and losing money. It's really scary to bet against ever optimistic americans. GE isn't generating enough cash for share buyback. they borrowed money for that! and media of course don't tell us. and those buyers kept buying and buying. perhaps their sell buttons are malfunctioning.
5.25% interest rate seems attractive to them considering dollar depreciates at much faster rate than the rest of major currencies. so these americans would exchange anything angainst their worthless dollars, pushing anything up. next week there would be a lot of data to come out from both sides of Atlantic and from Far East. If this price infaltion saw no sings of abating, i would have to close my short positions with heavy losses. Not a nice one considering i am off to china at the end of next week.
Biff on the other hand is still a bit of lazy flying up. So it's not been in our favour so far.

Good luck and good weekend,

watwungyi

And there you have it. If ever there was a temptation to bounce a share price then the closing price of today is it.

I predict Monday will be up 5p (long at £500 per point)

A close at 270p today (Friday) will be a potential platform for DB (Double bottom). The RSI (21) is already oversold and has started to arc up.

IMO if you are looking to get into BIFFA then today is your day.

Good muck (oops, sorry LUCK)

He He, see what I did there.

It doesn't look good. If the closing price for today and tomorrow is below 270, then some of those who are predicting 260 or even 250 level might come true. Not a good scenario for those buying a little earlier, me including.

Ooh, it sort of looks like a kind of head with shoulders on either side.

Is that supposed to be good or bad (I honestly haven't a clue)?

the band, if I remember correctly, Barts right shoulder is considerably higher than the other. It depends on whether you are viewing him from the front or back though.

I just cannot justify - even thinking about - selling in these times - all good things come to those who wait.

As johnsoho states, it may be time to add, if anything.

Just my opinion.
