Gen, as a senior spatial designer/educator, I would humbly suggest that Rwhite is more one dimensional... the only 2 part might be if they were half dimensional....

It is obvious that the adverts have to be of value to those placing them.
Perhaps the poster above ought to be thinking about that too.
The advertising industry has been stung by events over the recent years so they might relish this opportunity.
After all the US Navy are doing so aren't they?

How is that an excellent post. .How many people truly sit through ads on TV any more??Most people watch TV and their own leisure now. ON DEMAND - have you heard of it. .Oh here comes the ads - FAST FORWARD. That's money well spent. .The digital world is transforming the way advertises need to think. .The gaming world is growing exponentially. If you think having ads subtly placed in games will go unnoticed then you are clueless. BIdS has already proved this is not the case.

would you separate knowledge about tv production from tv advertising, and similarly newspapers and other print media, even youtubers etc. And would you separate these from knowledge about a growing or shrinking sector related to audience enagement??

you could make the same ineffective/not noticable argument about most ads but it clearly wouldn't be true.

all tied together....

Try and separate the gaming business from gaming advertising. They are not the same. Do ads in games have the same influencing effect as ads on billboards, newspapers, magazine's, television, radio etc. Are gamers so transfixed with the task ahead they subconsciously ignore all ads.

These are the types of areas you need to be looking into instead of pasting pointless links.

True! NetEase doesn’t really get mentioned on the BB but it is a games powerhouse in China.

Interesting article about games companies on an acquisition spree:

Thanks MLF - Note that in game advertising doesn’t feature in the tip which, if you believe Bidstack will crack it, means there is hidden value there.

So Codemasters is a hot tip for 2020, plenty more games to come, good news for anyone associated with their games.

Over at This is Money, Joanne Hart singled out video games developer Codemasters as one of three key stocks to watch in 2020.

Hart, in her Midas Share Tips column, noted that over the past 40 years, video gaming had become a £90bn industry, with sales rising by around 9% annually.

"Codemasters is a relative minnow in the sector but it is growing faster than the rest of the market and chief executive Frank Sagnier believes that the group can double in size over the next five years," said Hart.

She noted that the shares have had a good run in recent months but, at £2.78, Hart noted that they were "still undervalued compared to rivals" and should continue to gain ground this year and beyond.

Around 60% of Codemasters' revenues come from digital games and this is expected to rise to close to 90% over the next few years.

"Sagnier has also signed a deal with one of China's biggest gaming groups, NetEase, which should prove hugely rewarding. And Grid is one of the first games on a new streaming service from Google, Stadia, a little like Netflix for gamers," Hart added.

Midas declared the "fast-growing business in a resilient industry" a 'buy'.
