' Citi said in a note on Monday that the slowdown in production in Brazil was likely to keep the iron-ore price at $50 per metric ton by year-end, instead of a previous forecast of $40. 08/11/2015 18:23 | Methinks this type of thing will rapidly speed up the process concerning the "unexpected resilience" shown by some high cost miners to cut production or go under. Good news if you are BLT and can undercut the opposition. | idioterna
07/11/2015 20:47 | "You really have to ask yourself what kind of idiots give planning permission to build homes underneath a dam". But this is not Surrey, it's Brazil. So probably the same authorities who permit unauthorised, unplanned, slum 'Favellas' containing hundreds of thousands of inhabitants, to be built on steep hillsides within the city of Rio De Janeiro itself. | nobbyx
06/11/2015 16:22 | yep exactly, ive gone long this and short s&p. see what happens i guess. | dr_ex
06/11/2015 14:38 | Not leveraged, so not worried. Considering the present share price in relation to the S & P I'd say there was plenty of upside leverage baked in anyway. Seems a tad greedy (and risky) to add more. | idioterna

06/11/2015 14:13 | Not sure about triple bottoms but the wife reckons I've got a few too many chins. Purely on the dividend yield and the economies of scale this company brings to bear in conjunction with its proximity to China is enough for me. I can't see much of a better investment opportunity on the horizon. | idioterna
06/11/2015 14:12 | Yanks not in yet | revell40

06/11/2015 14:06 | based on technicals. yes triple bottom signifies a reversal however if it carries on falling pas the other 2 lows. sell or wait (for lower entry if you are not in the share). | dr_ex

06/11/2015 10:27 | Is it fair to say this is now temporarily shagged...hence a price target of £6.72 should be achievable. Sensible comments appreciated Sanksalot | sanks
06/11/2015 10:14 | FXPO up this morning on the overnight news re BHP-VALE. BHP's co-owned mine of Samarco, Brazil, is the largest and lower-cost producer of iron pellet at 30mt per year, which could be shut for a while. Ferrexpo produces ~12.5mt per year out of memory and is the 4th largest. BHP is down 4% on that news, while iron ore miner RIO is up 1.4% in a fairly solid market for miners today. 06/11/2015 09:49 | No but I believe BHP owns 50% of the company that does............ This is Brazil and not the USA when one wants to speak or comment on fines etc......careful what some say. | anley2 |
