fair enough - I needed some guidance on how things were going in 2009 and extrap has been kind enough to do so. Thanks.

dasv - I certainly don't think you can value the company by looking at historic figures. Its a bit like valuing a mining company before that has only just started production - yes they are burning some cash but yes they have a full order book and as they are dealing with blue chip companies you expect their pricing to produce good profits and EPS in due course - otherwise why bother?

Yesterday I was thinking of adding but with todays jump I am already well overweight and happy! Enjoy the ride folks.

IC tip summary on 28/8

Bglobal should break-even in the current financial year, which looks realistic given that its cost base has been pared down, installation costs have been reduced by 41 per cent and prices increased by an average of 25 per cent. And if the ramp-up in installations goes according to plan, EPS is forecast to hit 6p in the 12 months to March 2010. That places the shares on a modest 3.7 times prospective earnings. Buy.

I'm confused how to value this co.

Financial details are absent from the RNS's?

The company has some cash left but is consistently loss-making.

I like the words major acceleration in the following statement. Institutions will be scrambling to get on board and brokers will be desperately revising their earnings forecasts. With this sort of company big contract wins drive more and more contracts. There will be massive demand for smart meters and purchasers tend to go with the provider that everyone else is using.

"This new contract reflects the major acceleration we have seen in the UK market of our clients implementing solutions that reduce energy consumption, driven by initiatives such as the Government's CRC programme."

BGLOBAL IN GAZPROM DEAL

Bglobal BGBL.L , the smart meter and energy data provider, has signed a deal with Gazprom GAZP.MM , the Russian energy group, to supply its latest smart electricity meters to Gazprom Marketing & Trading's UK retail customers. An estimated one million are expected to be installed over the next five years. Gazprom already has an eight percent share of the UK wholesale gas market and a 1.5 percent share of the UK retail gas market. The deal adds to Bglobal's growing list of utility customers, including Npower.

melody9999 You were very prescient with your future contract win forecast at post 124. I am sure none of us expected that to be today with the superdrug announcement. This should really start to move the shares because other high street names will pick this up.

All in all not a bad day - I remember reading about Gazprom some time ago now - their stated aim is only to be the world's largest energy company - so a very big feather in the hat for BGBL by getting in with them - excellent stuff and well done to the management. Exciting times ahead methinks especially if we get more RNS's like that one.

Chris - waiting for the chance to pick up a few. Not sure what coverage Gazprom have in the UK - more important for me is the momentum this creates for further sales .... and therefore profitability and share price increases.

You would expect good publicity from this and that means new investors to support the share price going forward.

Well melody I may have been wrong - any more RNS's like this morning's and 40p resistance simply wont have any effect. I'll be interested to see what it does today, presently top of the leaderboard and red hot.

It might be ssignificant if Gazprom has a significant number of customers in the UK. - ANyone know that number : I found this (JUne 2009)
MOSCOW, June 26 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom plans to occupy 10% of the British energy market by 2011

hi chrismez - yeah agree - though even with these small caps I think there is a value in the charts - amazing how many times the share price moves quickly off resistance.

melody - keep talking to yourself - I have a jacket here that I think would suit you - oddly the arms seem to go round the front and then all the way round the back but it has very nice straight lines!

Not that chartism means much in the context of tiddlers like this but I see the next resistance at the April 08 levels - with a bit of luck and a helping wind from a 5000+ FTSE perhaps we'll see 40p soon :-)

and off we go..... ! plenty of space on the train and not many passengers getting off means the share price is only going one way.

Clearing this previous recent high and bit of resistance at 25p could see us move quite quickly into the low 30s.

yeh I bought these at 24p, been holding for ages, desperate to sell, but the idea that nPower had bought into could only mean a matter of time before they went up. I just bought them because I needed something green to balance portfolio
