09/6/2021 17:12 | I think the dividend will be quite a bit higher than 40p but lower than the 10p you suggested, Investographer. My view is based upon last years earnings and pay outs - maybe 80p and 4p coming. I agree the most important part is your last sentence - the forward picture! If dividends are much lower than 90-95% of earnings which is what they've historically paid I suspect there will be some announcement with earnings to say what they plan to do with the cash. Last year we earned 37.51p and paid out 37p. Nice news re web traffic spann_703. The market seems to suggest that we are going to earn 125p, I suspect that we will beat that by a bit as all we've heard so far is that earnings are inline with revised upgrades from March. I reckon management might have kept a bit in the bag to surprise investors, being cautious with their statements to be sure of things - 130-135p maybe, but we'll see. There's obviously a bit of wishful thinking there. We'll know, next week on 16.6.21. Another interesting thing I've noticed - the stock often dips and then rises into earnings.... A week today we'll either be back in the mid twenties or quite a lot higher than we are now, I guess, depending mainly on the forward statement I feel. | peart
09/6/2021 08:51 | What am I expecting in next weeks Finals?Looking for a 40p per share special dividend (20p last year) with all the spare cash they have, coupled with a 10p dividend (3p last year)More importantly, looking for a strong start exceeding management/ market expectations | investographer
09/6/2021 07:46 | For what it's worth, similarweb traffic analysis showing visits to botb.com up 7.7% for the month of May. Certainly no sign of a post-lockdown/summer drop-off. | spann_703
03/6/2021 11:28 | I find it easy as I read his SCVR report on Stockopedia most days. He's transparent and I like his no-nonsense style of communication. | blueeyes13
03/6/2021 10:28 | How does anybody keep up with Paul Scott? One minute he is backing up the truck, next he has sold out!On Nov 18th 2020 Paul Scott wroteShare price: 1400p (pre market open)No. shares: 9.38mMarket cap: £131.3m(I hold - but only a small position)Personally, I'd like to buy back into BOTB properly at some point, as I banked most of my profit earlier this year, to load up on other things where I see greater percentage & more immediate upside. | investographer
03/6/2021 08:37 | Paul Scott mentions Best of the Best (BOTB) at 25m40s in the latest piworld Interview. Watch the video here: Or listen to the podcast here: | tomps2
28/5/2021 12:02 | Amazing how some are dumping so near to dividends announcement. Throwing free money away | investographer
26/5/2021 08:02 | Agreed dividends will be great! Will be really interesting to understand how this year has started and what momentum is looking like. | ryanc106
26/5/2021 05:35 | Yes Investographer - me too! I reckon 60-80p depending upon final earnings and also any new plans that the Directors announce on 16.6.21. I thought maybe 90p earlier in the year but that might be a bit optimistic in light of recent news. We'll see.... | peart
25/5/2021 15:52 | Looking forward to the dividends too! | investographer
25/5/2021 15:19 | Yes, 16th June Ryanc106. We will receive the annual results for the year ending 30.4.21, and should learn how things are going at the start of this financial year. What we can clearly see is that the prizes keep getting better and better. It's forward EPS estimates that matter at this announcement, in my view. | peart
25/5/2021 14:41 | Yes, if only all the posts were as good as yours Ryan. Ryanc106 - 07 May 2021 - 09:34:01 - 1311 of 1399 I was expecting the T/U today so pretty sure we'll get one early next week. Ryanc106 - 05 May 2021 - 12:14:55 - 1301 of 1399 Yes, either Thursday or Friday I'd of thought. If not early next week. Ryanc106 - 28 Apr 2021 - 17:15:02 - 1272 of 1399 Update next week presumably? | stepone68
25/5/2021 09:23 | 16th June for the full year results. It was in the last RNS. They were early last year but suspect that was only due to the FSP kiboshing things. | feverfan
25/5/2021 09:00 | This board is turning a bit rubbish imo. Shame Aside from all the pointless speculation, Does anyone know when we'll get a trading update in June? | ryanc106
23/5/2021 22:42 | stepone68, I have pages of analytics I use to get a forward look. How do you see 2021's figures panning out with reasons ? Revenue/GP/Admin costs and share multiple to either cash flow or earnings. Lets see where your figures drop out. | serratia
23/5/2021 22:25 | Clanger's numbers align with mine. What 'stuff is made up' Stepone? | melody9999
20/5/2021 21:51 | Fair enough, if you are going to make stuff up there's no point arguing. Best of luck. | stepone68
20/5/2021 12:18 | I don't feel BOTB is on a premium share rating. For the year ending April 21 they will probably earn 125p a share which would put it on 20x. If we run with the conservative estimate of 143p for year ending April 22 it's on 17.5x. Hardly a premium rating even without the growth. | clanger66
19/5/2021 21:31 | AlphaScreens: the quest for quality Our quality shares screen is flagging companies on London's junior market. 17 May 2021 Seven Aim companies get full marks on our screen and 70 pass at least seven out of nine tests. On the main market 32 companies pass at least seven out of nine tests. The holy grail for buy-and-hold investors is to find a business that is capable of generating a high return on capital and sustaining it while reinvesting profits. This screen looks for shares that display these quality characteristics and can potentially deliver significant compounded returns over time See table below Aim quality selection (passing at least 7 of the 9 tests) BOTB Tests passed (7 out of 9) (Though they have BOTB as £11m nett debt) | 3ootuk
18/5/2021 14:46 | Think you've summed it up there feverfan. BOTB have been going for over 20 years and judging by their various social media followers have built up a vast player base. It maybe that the odds of winning the second hand Range Rover are much less than picking up the new Lamborghini but I know which one I would rather chance my luck on.Plus I don't know about anyone else who plays but I quite like the spot the ball element. It's a bit of fun. I tried it first time on the app this week which was incredibly easy to do. | clanger66
18/5/2021 14:08 | Interesting step one. What sort of ads are you saying? The ones I’m seeing look ridiculously dodgy / verging on scam like (not suggesting they are, but to my untrained / risk averse eye they look dodgy!). Most seem to be a man, standing by a used Range Rover saying buy tickets - and the ticket prices are like £8? Vs. BOTB I can see ones for £3-4, which come with £50k. I concede, the ones I’ve seen are raffles so you do have a higher win chance. The only legit one I’ve seen, aside from the endless traditional radio/ Tv channel ones which have been going for centuries are Omaze which I’ve seen advertising heavily on TV. I’m interested to hear your thoughts as you must disagree with me and think the competition is more serious than I’m making out? Welcome views! | feverfan |
