Managing Director, Paul Atherley, commented:

"We are delighted to welcome Oman's sovereign wealth fund as a long-term strategic investor in the Company and look forward to working closely with them to realise the full potential of the exciting Salamanca project.

The Salamanca mine is one of the only major uranium mines in development in the world today at a time when spot uranium prices are at a decade low.

The project benefits from a rare combination of low up front capital cost and very low operating costs and due in part to its location in the heart of the European Union we are able to contract supply at prices well above the current spot price.

The fund's interest in matching our future off-take contracts will further enhance our revenue stream."

LB this is what MY take is

"Effectively BKY have "sold" 37% of the company for $ 120 mill - given that the market cap yesterday was $105 mill that seems an extraordinarily good deal . Assuming the Sultanate takes up all of the options(and if they don't it is really bad news)BKY will have 330 mill shares in issue , an share price of 50p gives a MC of £165. IMV this deal puts a floor of 50p on the price and a ceiling of well over £1 (all calcs approx. will check later in the day)"

Mr Tim Keating, Private Equity Manager for Mining and Resources, State General Reserve Fund commented:

The company is pleased to announce that it has entered into an investment agreement with the sovereign wealth fund of the Sultanate of Oman agreeing to invest up to US$120 million to fully fund the Salamanca mine into production.

Paul did his usual professional and slick Presentation, using no notes I could see. Talking with Investors after, its apparent how low grade the resource is, especially when compared to Camco(?). However that doesn't mean there isn't a good potential Business here.

My previous concerns ref Investor visits to Site have been put to bed. Apologies for casting doubt on the poster who claimed to have visited site some weeks ago. There have been a number of site visits by people visiting Spain and the Co seems to have moved away from them themselves organising any such visits. Why on earth the Co or it's advisors couldn't tell me that defeats me.

The importance of the Mine to the local community was strongly portrayed. Paul was quizzed relatively strongly about funding, but to be fair what could he really say? However, and a big however, he did state no placing in the soon hoped for funding arrangements.

Other- I also learned from a respected fellow Investor there are very large stores of Uranium in Japan, stored in Powder form. If that is also contributing to the share price decline or not I do not know.

FWIW The organisers of the Presentation did claim to have a large holding in BKY.
Trust of some use. Apols for my previous 'humour'.

Yes certainly
The Midland Hotel Manchester is very impressive. We were treated to Red and White wine before the Presentations and more Wine and Beer after, including an Italian style Buffet. Id guess there were 30 traders/ Investors present.

It was a Jolly good Evening.
