24/7/2017 16:02 | Piedro - sound advice. I hate to keep harking on about another company but everything on the ground with ATYM should mean that its share price should be considerably higher than it is so my diffidence is based on harsh experience with Spanish miners. Add in ORM (tungsten in Spain) and I'm surprised I am even considering another Spanish mining minnow (which is what it is at the moment). Maybe however, its a case of third time lucky? | husbod
24/7/2017 16:02 | I don't think the company could have given us a better update than that. Very positive. A waiting game for the final permissions but given the many important and essential permissions already obtained it would be a very brave dept to go against such recognised institutions that have already signed up. Rather be in than out now. | marvelman
24/7/2017 15:51 | Husbod, Better to watch the company than the sp and DYOR AIMHO | piedro
24/7/2017 15:29 | Thanks bookwormrobert. As to WH Ireland when are they expecting the share price to achieve these dizzy heights. Most of these price targets, as I know from ATYM (where all the brokers have targets way above the current sp) are works of imagination which may or may not be achieved at some indeterminable time in the future! AJ Bell's Shares mag also said much the same but without a price target. A good story but whether it is worth putting money in now, as opposed to 18 months time,or whenever actual production is likely to commence, is my conundrum. | husbod
24/7/2017 10:23 | From WH Ireland June quarter update – Salamanca uranium mine development progressing well Berkeley has issued its quarterly update today showing that all remains on track, with the planned early infrastructure work at the Salamanca mine project in Spain nearly completed and the first of the capital equipment delivered to site. The Front-End Engineering and Design has highlighted a reduction in capex for the mine in what was already one of the lowest capital intensity uranium projects globally. Corporately, the board has been strengthened with two new NEDs, one of whom has strong relationships in uranium marketing after his time at Rio Tinto. Contracted offtake has increased to 2.75Mlbs (from 2Mlbs), at terms similar to before, in other words over $42/lb U3O8; much higher than current spot and term prices. Longer term, Berkeley has commenced its exploration campaign to find new “Zona 7s” and has prioritised two key areas for further follow up. We maintain our Buy recommendation and 128p price target. | wiseacre
24/7/2017 07:45 | Husbod - you should be aware that Lango has almost totally misrepresented the situation with this share, as he very often does. Final FEED figures just released, mine financing and a new off take deal expected very shortly. | bookwormrobert
24/7/2017 07:36 | Lango Wikipedia: La Vanguardia (Catalan: [?? ?????wardi?]; Spanish: [la ?a???warðja], Spanish for "The Vanguard") is a Catalan (Spain) daily newspaper, founded in 1881. It is printed in Spanish and, since 3 May 2011, also in Catalan (Spanish copy is automatically translated into Catalan). It has its headquarters in Barcelona[1] and is Catalonia's leading newspaper. | herlat1
23/7/2017 20:41 | herlat1 - The Vanguardia is a national Spanish language paper published in Spain's second city, Barcelona. It has never supported separatists or a referendum. It was also one of the most pro-BKY articles I have found recently, confirming as it does, that BKY has achieved important permits from local government. You are a complete idiot. No Husbod, I am not currently invested although I have been in and out a couple of times over the years and sentiment does cause movement here, so lacking in Emed/Atalaya. Management pushes hard to show progress but is stuck in limbo until the CSN reports. So they buy expensive crushers to impress the locals, which has the advantage of being returnable if necessary rather than spending real money on construction. My feeling is that there is a possibility that the mine will go through in which case there is real value, but there are also trading opportunities even if it eventually ends in tears. Sounds just the kind of thing you like with ATYM and that Devon thing under your belt! | langostino
23/7/2017 20:29 | Herlat - lango is the resident pessimist on ATYM. It's a copper mining company that's exploiting the original Rio Tinto mine in Andalucia and has recently gone into production. I bought in too early - about 7 years too early - and am nursing heavy losses but am confident they will be made good in due course. I like the uranium story but don't want to make the same mistake of committing funds that wont grow for a few years. Can I therefore ask what the chances of a rights issue are here to fund the opening of the mine. Apologies if this has been explored ad nauseum already but haven't the time to read back through the posts. Thanks for any response. | husbod
23/7/2017 19:17 | All Let's move with the times. When I was a young and impressionable student I demonstrated against nuclear power at Luxulyan in Cornwall. Now 30 years on the world has changed nuclear and renewables are the only game in town and wind and wave can't do it on their own Nuclear has to come!. | fatboy20
23/7/2017 17:23 | Hi lango - thought I'd look in here; after all I've lost so much on small start up miners in Spain that it's become a speciality. I'm thinking of putting a few pence in here whilst I wait to become a multi millionaire with Alalaya. What d'you reckon? Presumably you are invested? | husbod
