And just to think the share price was £7.50 not too long ago. Which is £3.50 net of dividends...

Nice little hop up today - I can't see anything in the news driving it, have I missed something? Cheers, PJ

Something quite odd: the 'financials' show september's divi as 99.76p per share In fact it was an interim 52p.

Think as far as BKG is concerned the “technical reason” might just be the obscenely high 15% stamp on a second purchase of any reasonable quality property. I bet Pidgley rues the day he sold all those cheap Ken High Street flats to this ungrateful government after Grenfell Tower disaster.

Market did not like the idea that he said they would consider compulsory purchase if land with planning permission was not being developed without a good technical reason.

Obviously investors didn't like the budget. Very disappointing that Super Phil didn't revoke the additional stamp duty rise at top of the market property too which has reduced their take anyway. Probably thought it was more important to play to the masses of Labour supporters with first time buyers. It would have been seen as politically damaging to be seen to assist the rich of course. Is this really a Tory government we have?

It certainly got back to £36 quicker than I thought, but with the recent falls of all the major players in this sector, there may be further drops in BKG to come. Going to keep my powder dry for the present.

I’m out at £40. 65% profit plus divs in 12 months. A profit is only a profit when you cash in. May come back at £36 if it drops that low. Have fun guys.

I think these are flying because there's every chance the next budget may undo Osbournes disastrous tax increases.

Must admit I can't see how this is trading at a high, they must be doing right. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/mortgageshome/article-4932452/Nationwide-London-house-prices-fall-8-years.html
