22/9/2015 13:41 | sent a complaint to the CWA and got the below reply can someone email the FCA as i do not know all the details they proberbly need Dear Mr Our response to your recent correspondence Thank you for your email to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) of 21 September 2015. The CMA welcomes information about practices in the marketplace, but does not respond in detail to individual complaints/concerns. The CMA aims to promote competition for the benefit of consumers generally but has no power to act on behalf of individual consumers and businesses. In deciding what work to undertake the CMA also has to take careful account of the limits to its powers and whether other organisations would be better placed to act. However, given the nature of your correspondence, we suggest that this might be better handled by one of the organisations working within the finance sector. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates most financial services markets, exchanges and firms in the UK, including banks and building societies, mortgage and insurance brokers and advisers. It also took over responsibility for regulating the consumer credit market following the closure of the Office of Fair Trading at the end of March 2014. However, the FCA does not investigate individual complaints but can be contacted by telephone 0800 111 6768 or by email at consumer.queries@fca The FCA also provides some guidance on how to complain if you are unhappy with a financial product or service: hxxp://www.fca.org.u Email: General.Enquiries@cm 22 September 2015 2 We are sorry we are unable to help you further in this case. We wish you well in pursuing your ongoing enquiries, but please note that we will not normally enter into correspondence about our decisions on whether to give detailed consideration to the information we receive. Thank you for taking the trouble to bring this matter to our attention. Yours sincerely Philip McCormick Contacts Team Competition and Markets Authority | windymug4

13/9/2015 11:09 | Sammy, re. "End of" It doesn't actually mean that the shares are worthless IF something were to happen, unlikely as that now seems. Just that the tax man is happy to assume zero value, that's all. Small but I think important (desperate?) difference. | librag
