12/5/2015 17:59 | Maputo — There is no evidence that Mozambique's anti-corruption system is capable of constraining the economic and political elites who seek to enrich themselves at the country's expense. Fortunately anti-corruption laws do not end at the border. Dozens of countries have made it a criminal offence to bribe foreign public officials. There is no doubt that some Mozambicans will seek to extract bribes. There is a small chance, however, that some foreign companies will be too scared to pay them. Introduction Transparency is increasing in Mozambique's extractive sector. But transparency alone does not generate accountability. There is a serious risk that in the coming years we will simply know in even greater detail the scale on which the political and economic elite in Mozambique is stealing the extractive sector wealth on which the future of all our citizens depends. Anti-corruption laws in Mozambique are weak. Enforcement of those laws is weaker still. The more serious the corruption, the more senior the offender, the more money is involved, the less likely that state institutions will investigate and prosecute. | oliversanvil

03/5/2015 10:40 | Looks can be deceptive CJL. People can do all they can do, while we still have people willing to do that then that's no reason to assume anything has died. A few people trying is better than many people that have given up. You can follow AMI's exploits as they are taking the same challenge, some people there think that they are in for an easy ride too. Making comparisons to BHSAC, lets see how they fair against the tide when at this point all they have done is bought an ice cream and debating getting their socks off for a paddle. Cheers for the support. | redbike_lse

15/4/2015 16:18 | ICVL bought 65% in the mine from mining giant Rio Tinto in July last year for $50 million. ICVL and Tata Steel have since managed to stem the losses a bit, but the asset has still been incurring a close to $7.5-million loss each month since October 2014, mainly due to high mining and transportation costs and subdued prices of coking coal. THUS BHR TRAIN SET NOW(ALONE) ARE WORTH A MINT! | oliversanvil

11/3/2015 11:17 | Hi Carl, please contact the shareholders action group at: BHRSHAREHOLDERS@OUTL It doesn't matter how large or small your holdings are. You're a disenfranchised shareholder and that's all that counts. The group need as many shareholders from the register as possible, whether you hold shares yourself or they're in a nominee account. You will need to verify your holdings. I did it by copying a screen print of my portfolio account. Of course, blank out all other shares. You will also need to give your name, address and phone number. It's worth the minor hassle. All the best, Graham. | librag
